They say that belt buckles, steel rimmed glasses and watches wont set off the alarm. The settings in the UK seem to be set lower than Europe, as I have been out of the UK many times without problem but getting back through Europe and USA is a different matter. I have almost been stripped down to my underpants (glasses out of pocket, watch off, belt off, shoes off (metal sole protectors), eventually traced to a metal pin I have in my hand after a motorcycle accident many years ago confused

So, metal suzzy clips should be no problem.

I'll try...basically when ur on the net u send out your IP address...which is a sort of registration number of yer PC....if you mask it when you get on to the web you go through via a 3rd party which could be on the moon and gives u completely different ip address. just sort of limits commercial entities from profiling you...(which they do !)
Generally unnecessary, unless you're doing something illegal.

Of course I don't have my primary email account on here... but some people will do - those that are less net savvy... rules and regs are designed to protect all... and in any case... even if my email address here is a tertiary one... it doesn't mean that I wish it to be abused... :P

Elliots reply goes someway to calming me down.
If the forum/ads/chat stays roughly the same and doesn't impinge on the community, lets wait and see what the "extra cost" proposals are and how it may affect those already on here.
For example, Pop up ads for ringtones and so on could be a pain, but can be coped with.
