There was a part of a Jeremy Vine programme a few months back which talked about road workers, which not surprisingly, I caught whilst stick in a bloody M25 Jam, which suggested that there average 'work time' on a road works was 4 hours, this was after they had got their breakfast in, had a chat, had a fag, and reas the bloody paper.
