Yes it can seem like that at first (it did for us too), but after a while, people get to know you, you just have to persevere.

Just a tip..most people dont meet for fun with a total stranger....
So......get posting more in the forums, use the chatrooms (especially a local chatroom) and try and get yourself to socials and munches. Once people feel they know you better, and have a rapport with you..well..do I need to say more !! :swingingchair:

Well ...we are here for the same reasons as Calm.
Love chatting to all the regs in the chatrooms, attemding socials, but most of all, would love to meet a couple we could socialise with from time to time and see as friends, without it always ending in a shag!!

We find that the single guys who have the most success are those that attend munches and socials and really get to know people..
The chat rooms are a good place to get yourself known, the Midlands have a good chat room and most people are friendly, and will make you welcome.
Shame you are so much younger than us :bounce:

Met lots of people we have seen in chat rooms, and its great to put faces to names.
The money raised from everyones "loose" change, for Naughty Angels "Race for Life" was fantastic, and just goes to show what a great bunch of people were there last night.

We are not far behind you in the "age" stakes, and have never considered ourselves too old..mature maybe !!!!
As others have commented, get your name down for a few socials and get to mingle and meet people. We find its much easier to get to know people in a social setting, rather than set up a "meet" in a pub etc, with a virtual stranger.
Persevere on getting to know people socially, by making new friends, you will find physical involvement will happen naturally!!
