It only takes a second to find the thousand words the didn't write.
just one little quote that's worth highlighting ''The venue owner has verbally confirmed that Heineken banners are visible in the pictures because the previous evening the club had been decorated for a promotional event and he had failed to remove the banners once it was over. This event was in no way related to the dog fight,' he said.'

Do you like to see/know which underwear your partner/wife/girlfriend is wearing, so you have it in your mind what you might be removing from her later?
Do you prefer not to see/know and for it to be a surprise when you either get her undressed later in the day or when she reveals it to you?
Perhaps you prefer another option completely - like telling her/picking out what you would like her to wear.!

All of the above!

Manchester City have the lowest price season ticket at £299

Really? Are you sure? That seems remarkably low averaging out at just below £15 per game. Even an Exeter City season ticket for league 2 is more expensive at circa £400.
Ronnie Biggs was a thief. I don't vilify him like some may, but I don't hero worship him either.
He lived the high life on his 1/16th share of the spoils from a now infamous robbery, and money he made from his notoriety in later years. He never served his sentence and therefore never repaid the debt he owed to society and he was certainly not rehabilitated.
I was told this morning that I am now working on 23rd, 24th and 25th December. So it now looks like I won't be at home at all this festive season sad
According to the and many others British airways is not able to fly the England football team to Brazil for the World Cup.
OK, I get it that the airline itself doesn't get much more than a PR opportunity and that in turn bites into profits and therefore, most likely, all our pensions. I also understand that the FA say's it can't reimburse BA for all it's costs. Business is business and a stalemate has been reached.
One suggestion could be that the Government helps out, but unlike the Northern Ireland Assembly, the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly England doesn't have it's own dedicated Parliament/government. Ours is the UK government and I can also understand why the Scots, Welsh and Irish would not want to pay for the English team to go to the World Cup.
So we are at a bit of an impasse
However I have a solution, let's get the boys in blue on the job, and I don't mean the Police. Stuff British Airways, let's send the England team to the World cup on a Royal Air Force Voyager aircraft, perhaps we could flank it with a couple of Typhoon fighter just to show we mean business?
The RAF helped to beat the Italians before; Maybe it's time to use our service men and women in a role that will endear them to our populace and allow them to show their immense pride and support for our country?
I do not class myself as professional. I have a wholetime career that I have been pursuing for 21 years and have risen within it to a decent level.
But for me the word professional derives from those ancestors of ours that followed a recognised profession and I'm not in one of those, and therefore i wouldn't describe myself as professional.

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't, but don't let your ego get the better of you, your not the only destroyer of forum threads on this site

Lol, that's the second time you've called me that in a childish pique.
Your the one who said it is 'Time for some light hearted fun amidst the current doom n gloom topics' and then pointed out other peoples foibles. Yet it seems you can't take it when people point out yours.
Have fun picking up your teddies.

You'll be surprised to know that no one bites!
although if your a little unsure it's probably a bit daunting to go in on a fri/sat/sun night, try the daytime first.
Oh and one more piece of advice, relax. The whole site doesn't want to shag you, but someone might.

First indication of genuine contacts or not, we figure that if they dont read our profile they are either not serious or dont care who they meet which is not the kind of people we are looking for

100% agree with you there. We have thought that for many years.
How can anyone answer the questions about profiles when we all know that no one reads them anyway lol
Blunt as always racer, however I must admit to feeling like you too. I haven't watched the news in four days.

i think they couldnt give a toss about us.
all this nanny state is so we cannot take legal actions.
same as all the health and safety rules in the workplace companies make.
sod all about looking after you, its so you cannot claim compensations when they fuck up.
they dont care, never will. just a number.

To be fair, health and safety rules allow us to get compensation when they fuck up. Provided you have stuck to the rules.
What you must remember then is that not everyone fancies beefcakes, Mrs T for one.
Keep your expectations at a sensible level, be polite and be yourself.

I hate airlines that discriminate according to size mainly because they do not charge any less for kids who weigh very little indeed and eat very little or not at all. (A child over 2 has to have his/her own seat and pays as much as an adult.)
What makes flights expensive, is not the cost of fuel but the cost of various taxes that they add onto the cost of flight - sometimes it is more than half. It is sickening that you have to pay airport taxes for some country's airport that was built years ago and has been repaid and then there is the security surcharge but nothing is changed security-wise, they just make our lives more difficult.

I understand your point Tania, but I can also see it from an airlines perspective.
If your child is big enough to occupy an adult seat, why shouldn't you pay the full price of the ticket.

On the contrary I believe the conviction to be correct and that he did do wrong
Glad to see you agree with me at last.

I have to use the labels of the day, I cannot say he was convicted of being a member of an organisaton as under UK law that is not a crime.

He was convicted of the following:
a. Recruiting persons for training in the preparation and use of explosives and in guerrilla warfare for the purpose of violent revolution and committing acts of sabotage.
b. Conspiring to commit the aforementioned acts and to aid foreign military units when they invaded the Republic.
c. Acting in these ways to further the objects of communism.
d. Soliciting and receiving money for these purposes from sympathizers in other countries.

Where did the Nazi accusation come from ?

If you cant be bothered to read my posts, I can't be bothered to explain subsequent posts to you.

So as Osama Bin Laden was never convicted of any offences his death at the hands of US Troops was murder ?
It's true he was not convicted but he was a wanted man in many countries and had been indicted by the US. Bin Laden twice declared War on the US and therefore made himself a target.

No you get a revenue of 21 billion because the £6000 figure that Sasha and I pay together as we both smoke Embassy No1 at an average cost of per packet and at 20 a day each that is £17 per day £85 per week (1), $4420 per annum, but at weekends we smoke 30-40 as we smoke more when drinking/socialising so the real cost is around £119 per week.

(1) There are seven days in a week. £17 x 7 = £119 per week, not £85. Do you need a new abacus for Christmas lol
My figures are correct as they are based exactly on what you wrote:
Quote by MidsCouple24
As for the tobacco tax revenue thing, I can only quote what I read on the internet about the tax and clearly that is wrong, but if you do the maths yourself it works roughly like this
average smoker 20 a day,
that is 5-6 thousand a year
tax on ciggies is over 70%
10 million smokers

I did the maths and your figures were wrong. You can't start bleating that I didn't use the average of your own smoking habits, because you are not the average smoker.
But just to humour you I will assume that you are the average smoker and base new figures on that:
Monday - Friday = 20 a day. Sat Sun = 40 a day totaling nine packets at = per week.
x 52 (weeks of the year) = £3978
70% 0f £3978 is tax revenue for the average smoker
x 10 Million smokers = million based on your figures again.
Still nowhere near your quoted 105.7 billion.
Lets not forget that the average smoker has 12 a day, so these figures are always going to be 40% too high anyway.

£7 is the cheapest cigarettes ( ) at our local corner shop not the average

I'm not going to calculate the price at every corner shop in the country am I? I'll base my figures on facts. At 31 March this year the average price of a packet of 20 cigarettes was I dropped the 13 pence just to make the maths easier to understand.

Did you read the first 9 sentances (1), they were supporting the measures imposed on smokers (2) and asking why similar measures could not be imposed on obese people(3) they were not supporting smoking or arguing that smoking is a better option than eating or cheaper medically speaking than treating obese people (4), it is others that brought those factors into the discussion and simply showed precedence for Government intervention.(5)

(1) Yes.
(2) Only line eight supports the measures imposed on smokers.
(3) That is line 10, not one of the first nine lines.
(4) You have produced figures to say that obesity is costing the NHS more than smoking related diseases.
Quote by MidsCouple24
Treating smokers for problems caused by smoking costs them £2.7 Billion per year
Treating obese people for problems caused by obesity costs them £5 Billion per year
Tax revenue from smoking is £105.7 Billion per year for the Government

And several people have pointed out that your figures are completely unreliable.
(5) You have said that you read the labels on food which were introduced by government intervention. So surely you must recognise that the information is out there for those that want/bother/can read it?
Quote by MidsCouple24
I answered your question, I said he was convicted what more did you want me to say to the question "was he convicted or not". (1)
Having answered your question I wondered what difference it made (2), in South Africa the people of the nation voted overwhelmingly that it didn't matter and surely that is their business or do we impose our values on other nations ? and if we do my example of that was there for all to see, our example is to call a convicted terrorist (3) The Right Honourable and pay him a large salary.
My tangents have been to show that what people do in their life is only relevant at the time, I have given examples of others who have done things they should not have done but whose overall deeds have been accepted by the British Public who have totally exonerated them, why are people choosing to highlight what Nelson Mandella did ?
People are being very selective on who does wrong and it is alright and who does wrong and it is wrong.(4)

(1) A simple yes or no answer is all that was required, not another tangent.
(2) It doesn't matter at all in my opinion. You don't believe he did anything wrong, fine that's your business.
(3) I thought you said terrorists didn't exist?
(4) I'm not being selective between right and wrong. I let the Law courts decide. Even if that makes me a Nazi in your opinion.
Seeing as we are talking of cameras. What is the name of the function that means you take repeated shots? Is it SLR?
