I was hit because a speeding drive who couldn't stop when the motorway came to a stand still, maybe if he was sticking to the slower speed limit he would have been able to stop.

Is it not better not too commit the offence in the first place, speed limit are there for safety. Better not to speed and have the potential to kill someone. Or having to wriggle out of a speeding offence.

There are areas of Birmingham with english street names replaced with arabic streetnames and banners over head that say, Allah is the one and only true God, you will serve no other, is that multi culturalism?

How far do you think I would get if I tried to build the Catholic church of St Joseph In Pakistan/Iraq/Egypt/Morroco/Turkey/Afghanisthan?
Yet the UK is full of Mosques an Temples.

Here here, the funny thing is Britian went all over the world & robbed the natural resources of others and civilised the world.
:smug:
Pity there has been a loss of civilisation here.

If I was to give my opinions on what is wrong with this country, I'd get flamed by those in ivory towers who like to sit in judgement and who half the time give a public opinion whilst privately holding a totally different one.
Enoch Powell had a point though.

That is why Wales, Scotland and Ireland point out the fact they have their own nationality.
What is Englands national anthem?
God save the queen, yet it's also britains.
I'm a Republican. I don't recognise the queen of England as my queen.
But that is another story, and it's getting all heavily political again.

Can't remember what I put on the census form, but I'm sure Welsh was an option.

I love living in a multi-cultural society - as a country I think its brought us many things - different foods, festivals, shops etc. Our communities are now more diverse and richer for it!
I've certainly learnt a few things over the years about myself, my family and others.
There are some theorists tho that believes it has caused a social divide in Britain - personally I think that's always been there anyway!

I "effectively" have three nationalities, I was born in Wales, I have an Irish passport and I'm a naturalised Scot.
Quote by Hibernian
Where people of all backgrounds and cultures live together as one.
It's never going to happen.
Cultures stick together (and foreign nationals), this country is full of pockets of cultures.
They all tend to form groups and try to enlarge this group, this then causes resentment amongst those around them as they see them as a threat.
To use one example, Lidl in livingston (main depot), has 70% polish staff to local (go on, someone say the Poles are now local) but there isn't really any other term to use, and this is growing.
