Sappho, I for one remember 'The Flashing Blade'. It inspired me even then. As did BELLE AND SEBASTIAN, PEOPLE!!!!
'And I seem to remember Wagon Train - didn't that have a young Clint Eastwood in it or am I thinking of something else?'
Alex, that would be 'Maverick'. It was while he was doing that that C. Eastwood esq. went to see 'Jojimbo' and got the idea for 'A Fistful Of Dollars.
Hey RV! As you know I'm too far away - hope to catch up with you at the London Munch though?
Fantastic job, brumlad!

At the risk of being accused of pedantry and nit-picking, there are a couple of small typos. I can recommend a thoroughly professional, not to mention Dvine,

Dvine??????????
Will, methinks you are undone!
Who's going to win the premiership in 2004?
Gordon Brown, that's who.
A few favourites:
Once Upon A Time In The West - fantastic. The only film Henry Fonda was a bad guy in. And what a bad guy. And the only film Charles Bronson was truly great in.
Life of Brian - come on. "Yes, we are all individuals!"
"If it's not a personal question?"
Blade Runner. Actually the original cut does it for me.
Horror - The Shining (Kubrick)
The Big Sleep
Rear Window
A Matter Of Life And Death
Get Shorty
The Birdcage
That would be what confusion, exactly?
I should warn you I'm listening to Scott Walker right now.
Now then, sargeant... (grabs a quart of industrial strength Belgian raspberry beer) There's a lot of things I'd like to say, but I've just got back from a Burns Supper *burps loudly, not to mention highly fragrantly* but I can't say any of them as I've just got back from a Burns supper and am therefore beyond the possibility of transferring meaning to another living soul. Hello Earth (by, this raspberry ale is cracking stuff - where do you get it?)
We all forgot Suede's 'Animal Nitrate'. A tad weird, yes, but moooove those hips...
Nothing could hurt me more than the words 'I HATE DUSTY!'
I'm almost crying just from typing them...
rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao
Today I have had so bad a hangover that listening to Nico of the Velvet Underground singing 'The End' was comforting. On days like that it takes a lot to make me laugh. I would just like to thank you, Fred and Wilma, for making my ribs sore - I needed that biggrin
Hi Smiths, and welcome wave wave
As far as clubs go, I don't think we're allowed them in Scotland, so that's not much of a help. My impression is that the scene's rather quieter here than in, say, Manchester. But there's always travel, and joining in the forum here is a great way to get to know folk. They're a lovely bunch. And munches are definitely worth going to, if the legendary NW Munch is anything to go by.
