So why are you here?
I'll hold my hand up to that one. I live in a marriage where my wife refers to play house than have a physical relationship, which was recently proven yet again when I returned home early one afternoon.
Eldest at work, youngest in an exam, guaranteed privacy for two hours. I was turned down as the bed had been made and the kitchen counter tops and a cupboard needed cleaning.
So why am I here? Firstly to socialise. Being here has given me the opportunity to meet others, either via email, messenger, chat and social functions. I've actually made friends of my own who I have met, or chat to occasionally.
Much to my surprise, as I only ever thought that I would only socialise here, two ladies showed a great interest in me and much to my great pleasure we have met, and I have enjoyed some wonderful experiences. Sadly one, due to the great distances involved,
has scaled down our relationship to 'just friends' and the other lives so far away that it's likely to be next January before we meet again.
Not withstanding what I have said, within the limitations that I have, coming here makes me happy and alleviates some of the loneliness. This place is to me a lifeline. It has opened up other possibilities and new horizons to explore.
