Dogging is like fishing - goto the right locations, be patient and respectful and if you're lucky you'll get to pull your rod.
Although in many cases you maggot will get cold and wet on your own.
Seriously though - when you do find what you are looking for be respectful and don't scare people off by being too pushy.

Had a day off today and as the weather was fairly nice thought i would go for a drive round some of our one time dogging venues.
I drove into a well known site and was greeted with locked gates (during the day)! and large yellow important looking posters plastered about the entrance.
I got out of my car for a look at these posters and could not beleive my eyes. In bold print i read the following (twice) :!:
This car park is under 24hr survelance due to CRIMES AGAINST THE ENVIRONMENT.
Now i could be wrong here but plastering signs to all and sundry has no impact on the environment

: Another thing, and this might sound really stupid here, is that I don't drive. Other than the obvious issues concerning personal safety wandering around in the dark at night, and the above issues of politeness is being on foot not the 'done thing' and if not should I take a torch to flash and make myself known?
