Would just like to add our thanks to everyone for a great evening last night

Hopefully by now you are starting to get an understanding of what is site is all about and what it means to the people on here. This is not a normal swinging site; it has a uniqueness that puts it above all the others. Remember if you break the heart of this community, you will lose what makes this such a successful site
Life is all about change, some good, some bad and we have to accept that this site is going to change, hopefully for the better (but hard to improve an already excellent site, thanks to Mark, Helen and everyone else here). Time will tell if your company made the right choice or not, for everyone on here we do hope you get it right, or you will not a base to work with
Sussex2
Well the day has arrived and we look forward to seeing everyone later

We would just like to add our thanks to Mark & Helen (and everyone else) for giving us the opportunity to enjoy this site and the lifestyle

So what is the real driver behind the ban? If it’s for health reasons or protection of workers health rights, then it has to be a full ban, but with the current proposals various establishments will be exempt from the ban. So does this mean that the government feels it must do something to follow other countries who have already implemented a ban, and give the headline that it cares about health (may stop lawsuits against them), but is afraid that by implementing a full ban they would lose too many votes and would therefore prefer to sit on the fence? (They can’t have it both ways)
For us it’s a difficult choice as Mr Sussex does not smoke while Mrs Sussex does. We agree that smoking in restaurants and food areas should be banned, but as far as other areas of pubs goes then the choice should be left up to the local pub. We would be happy with Smoking pub & non-smoking pubs so people have a choice. As far as staff are concerned in our local about 50% of the bar staff smoke including the landlady

Mine are normally kept in my bedroom wardrobe, easy to get to when I want them. When my parents stay over (using our room) I do hide them (not that they would go looking), but the thought of them finding some of my toys

Does that include Jenson Button
Hi Rainbows
Didn’t know you were there. We were at Preston Park Sat afternoon, had a great day out. We could not believe the number of people who turned up, and the floats were just out of this world.(Were you on one?) The event has certainly gone from strength to strength over the last few years and long may it continue. We feel it’s not until you have been to a pride parade do you really get a feel for what it is all about. If you want more info

We will be there on the Saturday afternoon and overnight at the Olympia hotel. Glad you found a good local pub as the drinks in the hotel are a bit steep
Sussex2
Well we tried but was unsuccessful, so will just have to watch it on telly. Still not to disappointed as can watch it on telly. Got our Queen concert to look forward to the following Friday, so can’t complain

Hi
Thought we would add to the thread and say thanks to everyone for making the West Sussex Drinkies such a success. Nice to see so many friendly people there, we will have to make more of an effort to talk to more people next time
Excellent choice of venue, and good to see such events can be held so far South, roll on the next one.
Venus you did have an advantage over everyone else to be able to post first and would have been disappointed if you hadn’t

Well after getting caught up in hurricane charley last year, thought we would play it safe this year.
Spent last week in a caravan at Rockley Park with the kids and in-laws. Was a good week, and enjoyed it. Sometimes you can’t beat a British holiday, but why couldn’t the weather of been like this week, then we could of got to Studland beach (typical weather).
For our summer holiday we have 2 weeks booked in Rovinj Croatia and our hotel is linked to the nudist Island next door so looking forward to that all over tan

Thanks for all the info, we had heard stuff about Studland (apparently is been featured on tv???)but wanted to hear real peoples' views, so we'll bear it in mind if/when we decide to take the plunge. Bit worried about the lewd behaviour arrests, perhaps week days in term time are the best days to go to avoid that.
Also know of a beach in Brighton 'the other side of west pier', which is a bit nearer to us, wondered if thats just a naturist beach and would we be arrested if we got a bit frisky???? ....which is very likely!!

Would image the Brighton beach would be too public
Sussex2
Caravanning (Static one so don’t blame us for all the caravans on the road) in Dorset with the kids and parents for the week. Just hope the weather is going to be nice

Our only experience of naturism and swinging was at the Bristol Gardens Health Spa in Brighton. We went on recommendation. To be honest we didn't enjoy the experience as we felt that the naturist there didn't like swingers. We did meet a couple there who claimed not to be swingers and then swung with us confused We Just found that the whole place made us feel uncomfortable and that we would prefer to go to a swingers club knowing thats what we were going to get.

Bristol Gardens advertises itself as a naturist venue, but does cater for both groups. Has strict rules no sexual behaviour in the spa or top rest room areas, but for the swingers it’s the rest room on the 1st floor.
They have certainly suffered since Brighton Sun Club expanded it’s horizon, which may of driven the decision to make some changes to the first floor with a new type of rest room which they say we will enjoy.
So looks like they do accept that they need to keep both communities happy to survive
