I disagree with the black and white of fantasy about a legal act is OK whilst fantasy about an illegal act is wrong. Firstly, and for the avoidance of any doubt at all I think that fantasising about any act involving children is horrid and is sufficient grounds for the involvement of the police
Let me share my own personal history....
A long long time ago... I can still remember... I answered an ad on loot (pre-internet days) . I was about 23 she was about 30. The ad was in the "naughty" section but just expressed a desire for "no strings fun" and we exchanged letters (yes - really was pre-internet) which resulted in phone calls and phone sex. During which we explored the fact that we were "sexually charged" strangers. This exploration culminated in a fantasy play. We'd never met... in fact she never knew my name but she asked that I pretend to break into her apartment and her. I was very circumspect and went to the extent of recording an entire conversation from the receptionist at her work answering the phone all the way through to her "agreeing to be " - this resulted in me knowing her name but to repeat at no point has she ever known my name. On the allotted night, I phoned her as agree from just outside her apartment, this was her cue to leave the door ajar and I entered in torch light and proceeded to play out a whole scene. We had agreed safe words and I would've stopped at the merest hint of an issue but that was not required. We both really enjoyed the experience. It was never repeated and we never met but we did talk on the phone for many months and years afterwards. She has since become a well known journalist but to this day she has very little idea of who I am.
So to get to my point. I felt that in the other thread the simplistic "legal fantasies are good.... illegal fantasies are wrong" was too simplistic. is rightly illegal but I played out a fantasy that was very enjoyable for both parties. So I reject the black and white argument that it is wrong to fantasise about illegal acts (although to make the point one last time I do feel it is abhorrent to have any sexually motivated discussion on children).
Thoughts please -which illegal acts is it ok to fantasise about and why?

The most obvoius point to me reading this is that yes, while is legal what you acted upon here wasn't actually . It was a carefully worked out and most importantly agreed upon scene between two consenting adults. There is nothing wrong with either fantasising about or doing that.
Whilst it might have been based on the concept of it wasn't actually . It was just overpowering sex and as much as you would like to think that is what you played out, its a world away from the reality. Therefore to me the legal/illegal side of the line is still simplistc and clear. If its illegal to do then you're on very shakey ground.
Its more about how we define the legal things we do to make them sound/feel like something that they're really not. You may have defined it as or play but what you fantasised about was not illegal as it wasnt truely .
It sounded like great fun incidentally.

If it's a party for friends, I'd agree. If it's a business, I'd say it's a change of use.
I think the point about needing a license for dancing or performances of dance is significant, and not just merely extending the categories you referred to.

A business in a domestic property is not always a requirement for a change of use and they look at it on a case by case basis.
Unless they have River Dance or similar then performance of dance is out of the window for a swinging club. To be sensible, if I wanted to see a dancing performance then I would go to a theatre and not a swinging club. Dancing would be in the same context of a music club, so unless the swinging club has the facilities of a club then they wouldn't need this either.

Its not just dancing performances, its dancing in general. I know that a pub near us that was struggling put on karaoke every friday as a way to have music because the licence for that was cheaper than for a disco purely because a disco encourages dancing (need the relevant licence for that) whereas a karaoke may have accidental dancing but its not its primary aim.
If a club plays music and folk could dance to it they need a licence for their customers to dance.

IMO, drivers that are driving well below the speed limit for a mile after mile are a menace and do cause a danger to others and, I would have thought may fall under driving without due care or dangerous driving. I believe people have been given a ticket for such things

Not just in your opion either. It's an automatic test fail (not making good progress/failing to notice and drive to the roads speed limit) if you dont do and maintain the speed limit. And as far as I'm aware you can be pulled over for driving without due care and attention if the speed is more than a certain mph under the limit.
Slow drivers are just as much a menace as speeding ones except some of them seem to think they're doing a good service by slowing everyone down.
Hmmm its very thought provoking is this. I've friends who vehemently object to the fact that clubs charge more for single men than for couples or single women but I also can see why the clubs do it. Without couples or women there's not much of a club and some clubs charge over the odds for single fellas to try to keep numbers down a bit.
Will clubs charge each person admission or will they be able to get away with charging a couple the same as a single person?
If we as a couple had to pay the same each it would make it cost prohibitive to go as I would imagine it would for many others. But if they lower the admission to such a level that couples are relatively unaffected (therefore keeping the club actually worth visiting) the revenue they stand to lose on dropping the singles admission is quite probably too much for some clubs to stand.

Blue,
Some people already have graduated licenses, talk to any bikers as they've had them for years.

Thanks fdor that info, I had no idea, as a biker I have never really herd of it before
Graduated licelnce for motorcycles wouldnt have been the case when you did your test if it wasnt in the last few years. I'm not certain when power restrictions came in exactly though, perhaps 5 years ago. But now you have to train and pass your test on a higher powered bike to be able to ride one straight away, and you have to be over 21 years old. Otherwise you're restricted for 2 years and until you're over 21.
~Dont think its made any difference in accident stats though.
Free range. But I'd make sure they were free to roam druing daylight hours and not barn chickens which can also be classed free range. If it didnt say that I would go eggless.
I dont think donating aid will ever stave off terrorism or anti western opinion. For a start the people receiving the aid would have to know where its come from. Does it have gift tags? It comes from where they're told it comes from.
Secondly anti western opinion goes a lot deeper than any amount of blankets and food parcels will ever fix.
I'm in favour of aid but not under any kind of illusion that it buys understanding from terrorists.

I could have sworn I'd seen a suggestion box round here somewhere but for the life of me I cant find it.
I was gonna suggest having enamel badges made of the site logo so we can spot fellow SH-ers while out. I just thought of this as there was a few of us at the recent BBB and we all passed like ships in the night and missed an opportunity to have a chat.
If the site owners are interested in doing it and they were happy for me to do I'd look into it.
Any other ideas ?

Pinned on with the rally badges then? wink
