a question to people who keep whispering

i enjoy the chat rooms but i really hate it when people contintually whisper to me even when iv asked them not to ! i even have that written on my profile and i also ask them not to at the time but some just carry on .. often saying they prefer it or they like it to be private etc but mostly its not anything that really needs to be private !
some end up being rude and abusive to me !
i usually report them and sometimes they get banned for a while, but sometimes they dont sad

i know i can disable the whispers but i do use them to chat to friends and sometimes its about personal tuff that i dont want in the room so i dont want to disable the whispers
now i guess most people would say well thats my choice
but what id really like to know is this, im asking the people (mostly men) who keep whispering even when asked not to...why do you do that ?

I can't stand uninvited whisperers either. They're the reason I don't go into chat anymore.

I tend to just ignore uninvited whispers they get the message after one or two and stop harrassing of course you always get the odd persistant bugger who just wont give up so I copy and paste their whispers into the main chat and more often than not they run away with their tails between their legs.
I report abusive whispers. Although uninvited whispers can be annoying and tedious I find it less upsetting to just ignore them.

i get very few wispas - and nixy gets loads lol....some abusive we just ignore but most are from peeps who can be bothered to chat normally. If the room is hot and chat is flowing wispas can be annoying as wispas serve us well for setting up meets etc or just finding out gossip :P

we totally agree why should we have disable whispers. we use them to chat with friends only. as a couple that meet single guys any that whisper univited have just blown any chance of a meet. he just told us he's not worth meet as he can't follow simple rules.
maybe the site should on the next chatroom update look at a system that we can choose wheather or not to accept that persons whisper if u choose no it appears in room un whispered. that may also help stop some of the abusive whispers which we always report

If you disable whispers it means your friends can't talk to you.
I have come to the conclusion that after a few times of cutting and pasting what is said into the room ...they are just after attention and thats that!
I don't understand if they whisper what they get out of it so thats my conclusion. Ohter than that they are just shy in which case would they ever be able to hold a conversation if it got round to you meeting them?
I say get rid of whisperers!! lol
