OK, i know nothing about webcams, i rarely use one but here on this site i think it's best to have one, just for general chat. Sainsbury sells one, is this a reasonable buy? I don't think i should spend more than £45. It's a real shame i can't use my panasonic cam (no software) and free downloads are to be avoided.
So there it is, budget £45, to be used on this website, using Windows 7

You should check the Panasonic web site to see if they have a download there for your cam.

If not then a trip to PC World or similar should see you parting with the readies for a cam.

Look for something that allows 1080 (HD quality) in your price bracket and has a reasonable suite of OEM software.

Why? I prefer to keep the resolution low, hides the imperfections! :P Seriously though, if OP needs a webcam solely for SH purposes I would suggest even a camera in the £20s range would be more than adequate. Just switch the light on! On the other hand, if you intend on using the cam's integrated microphone it's worth paying for a better model.
uummm one that works?? lol
Comes to mind.. biggrin
I payed a tenner at asda for one which works adequately ... no software required ... connect via usb socket and it works fine. If your looking to do some sexy action on cam then perhaps it's not what you want, but if you just wish to be visible then it'll work just fine.
There should be a model number somewhere on your Panasonic, usually found on the back or on the USB connector. If you upload this then I will happily check if it can be used and link you to the necessary driver software.
If you are still shopping around then the Logitech C170 ain't bad if you want to leave it stationary on your monitor

if you want a bit more flexibility with regards to standing the camera up for 'action sequences' and different angles then the tecknet camera is excellent

Its based on the Microsoft lifecam design that I currently use and I can get that to stand up or clip on almost anywhere! It once got strapped to my cock for the ultimate POV, results were a bit shaky but that wasnt the cams fault :rascal:
