hi all
can someone help us....
i sign into chat room and all is well for first few minutes and then the screen goes blank and the names are faded and i have to close and wait 5 minutes to get back in.....
fustrated now... only ever get to say hello many many times today and then lost all the connection......arrrgggghhhhh
not very computer literate....so if any one can help could you translate computer jargon into english first.....

Hopefully when you can get back into the chatroom, it would be worth checking which version of flash you have installed. (in case its out of date).
Move your cursor on the screen between the line where you type your text in the chatroom and your windows taskbar at the bottom of your screen. If you then right click you will be given the option "about adobe flash player 9". If you left click on that option, a new web page should open which will confirm that you are running version 0 That may help. If it doesn't, then a little more info about the spec of your machine may help. Processor, ram, operating system that kind of thing.

oh ian thank you ....i am now going to follow your instructions and hope that it works......i will let you know....as for the machine im on a lap top it portable...small black.. quite cute and my lifeline to chat lol.... dont think that was the info that you wanted really...its HP compaq 6310 not had it that long and i promise i not spilt my wine or anything on it like the last one lol

Ok, i've checked the spec of your hardware, and that's plenty fast enough. So the problem is most likely going to be software related.
Unless of course.... you are with tiscali?

Only the mods can close threads.... thankfully as a chatroom op, my extra buttons are only in that section of the site.
Don't worry the mods are like buses. (I meant there will be one along in a minute), not they look like one
