Just logged on for a chat room catch up and all it does is go to a blank chat room header ... no folk in there, 0 in chat it says ... Anyone ?

In any case, it's ongoing, the issue has been noted, it was fixed a couple of days ago, it seems to have returned and Admin have again been made aware of it.
Not expecting any reply from anyone to be honest with the customer service standards on this site these days ... If it was now and then fine, but its all the time these days. A simple banner on the home page to let folk know what is going on would help a lot .. but no even that is too much !

No, read the comment, he wasn't expecting a reply after 10 minutes. He was stating the fact that there's been no news. If a fault returns after being fixed it obviously wasn't fixed was it. Just basic Comms are the bare minimum we're asking for as paying customers. Just copy what proper tech companies do if you don't know what you're doing
Not how I read it, but in any case there is link at the foot of the page for support by raising a ticket.
Forums are probably the least read area for the site admin/tech of any online business, a quick swoop of any main broadband provider//media website/insurance forum demonstrate perfectly how little the forums (if present) of their respective businesses see support issues answered by site admins and even less so with support messages/banners should things go awry. Everytime I visit my banks website it seems it's offline, no explanation given, no message received just that it's offline, it's frustrating but things eventually come back on stream, as will the chat here at some point.
