Chat room rules question

As your profile is that of a single then I would suggest its best not to let anyone else type using your chat name....
I realise that you are partners but technically its breaking the rules.....
If you had a cpls account then I would say it is ok for either of you to type on that account...

If your partner is logged in with her account then its fine for her to type but not you....

The reason we insist on only the account holder typing on the account is because if there is a complaint against someone we go back and read the logs.
Everything that is typed by your username is then your reponsibility. We have had examples in the past where people have claimed they were innocent because it wasn't them that had typed it (it was their friend or partner etc.)
By having the rule that ONLY the account holder can type on the account we can then be sure that any comments that break the site rules were typed by the account holder and can take suitable action against that person.

you could just make the account holder accountable for what has been typed irrespective of who types it..but then that would allow non paying members an access to the site.. what happens if the account holder is not the one typing and this is discovered? whats the penalty?
