I realise that there are some who are seemingly being summarily dismissed from the chat-rooms by virtue of an unexplained 'kick' and others who are operating a cam having their cam session disconnected etc.... It is also noted that some cannot whisper/be whispered to
But we haven't had any real problems in chat, no disconnections from the chat-room, I have been able to view cams and people have whispered us and we have been able to respond. I get it that some may not be able to whisper us but how would i know?
So with that said.
We're using Lion as our OS
We're using BT as our service provider.
We are using Firefox Ver
We also use Safari 5.1.2
Our screen resolution is 2560 x 1440
We sometimes use an iPad 2 (earlier on today was the latest) running ver 5.0.1 (with recent update)
Jules chats for an couples of hours or so in the evening and we hop on to SH most days to have a look around the chat/read forums.
This may irk some but I've simply posted this so that those working behind the scenes (sys admin etc) can see that there is some stability and maybe cross ref against those that are having a bit of tough time staying connected to the site.
The only error I have gotten in the last couple of weeks was one being unable to reach the main site for a few mins, perhaps the server was rebooting at the very time I attempted to log on.

We rolled but the chat to an earlier version that was running last August today, it appears to have helped with the watchers/whisper issues but we are still seeing disconnections.
Wednesday were moving to another server at another data center, it will be set up in the same configuration as we had running last August.
Unfortunately between now and then some bugs have crept in, were trying to identify where, in addition to code changes operating systems and other bits get updated and its been difficult to find the exact problem so far, but we are working on it.

Well if it's any consolation I was in chat yesterday evening and lost connection on a couple of occasions.....was able to reconnect easy enough, no biggie.

I know the chat rooms have had problems recently. At various times we've had watch list not working, whispers not working and, of course, the chat room crashing on regular basis. However, this morning we notice a new bug - the sort by distance button doesn't work for us at all. We use Mozilla browser.
Anyone know what the problem is ? It has always worked up to this morning.

yep, refreshing will do that as it has to reload the correct version of the chatcode, I'm glad it worked for you

What is wrong with the site?? I tried logging in several times last couple of days with no joy? this morning I logged in an was in somebody else's profile! I could see all their messages, private pictures personal info.. Everything.. Once I realised i logged straight out but I hope this hasn't happened on my profile?? A message out to the users stating technical problems etc would be nice? Clearly something wrong
