I'd like to do a chatroom challenge
We have had a bit of a joke lately in the nw rom with some of the guys.. where i have had them on cam in a shirt and tie...Phhwwooaarrrrrr :lol:
I'd love to arrange, just for a giggle.. that any guys on cam have to wear a Shirt and Tie.. not a suit.. Just S & T
Any1 up for it?

As it`s all just a bit of a laugh I think we`ll all be able to see on the room count who`s won lol

And as far as I`m concerned the only rules are no host names in the title and no hosts on cam ....any other forms of cheating or underhand stuff is all part of the fun :lol:
So, just to be clear. You have decided to get everybody to create wind up rooms at a given time just to tick off most of the chatters? I guess you will have cleared this with the chatroom ops to ensure that it doesn't break the rules and that there will be sufficient cover to help with all of the complaints received from the people who don't read the forums

But can you just confirm what you are saying. A mass creation of windup rooms that could potentially be in breach of the chatroom rules or the site AUP is funny?

Maybe a better explanation, and an adherance to the site rules would make your project run smoother?

I was with Flower in the cabbage room last night when this idea was bought up!
The idea just came about as a bit of a laugh as we had people coming in asking about cabbages we were talk white red and green ones...picked red cabbages were refered...It was all a laugh there were about 15-20 people in at the time. We came up with the idea from that...who can come up with a room name. and get the most people to enter their room.
We stated the rules of the game to be:
1) you couldn't use your own name in the room title example Mine ladyminx etc cant be used.
2) No sexual wording Example..stripping cock fanny etc cant be used
3) the room host cant go on cam to entice people to stay in room...so I wouldnt be able to flash my boobs to keep people there..as this wouldnt be fair on Flower who Only has man boobs! lol
4) room names that were spoken about for a laugh last night were..Cabbages, fruit cocktail, worms, snakes bell ringing.
It was all spoken about with good humour and faith we were not going to exploit the chat room rules.
The only thing I can see that might cause a problem would be if we are allowed to open a few rooms posibly 10 by different sh members. Please let me know if this would be seen as a problem..as I was also one of the people that came up with the idea along with Flower.
This wasnt done with any malicious intent..nor to mislead anybody, just a bit of harmless fun.

This explanation is totally different to the
"hey everybody lets break the rules" post that I have already commented on.
Providing the chatroom names do not breach the previously quoted rules and that individuals do not open more than one room at a time I really can't see a problem.
I should be around myself next wednesday evening just incase things go pear shaped.
To help the "non forum" chatroom members, it might be worth admin dropping a note into the chatroom news at the foot of the chatroom login page to explain to everybody what is happening.
you never know, I might even open a room myself. :eeek:

What a good idea. It's novel and fresh. I've not seen it done before in Chat either. Seems like a good night to do it as well, though a tough one! If I'm about I'll have a go and join in might even try and coerce some of the S'West chatters along. Worth a shot at something new isn't it.

I wouldn`t just go around calling anybody "a boring old fart" and I certainly want to make absolutely clear that I would not like to encourage anybody in the forums or, indeed, the chatrooms to go around calling people boring old farts. wink

I had asked the other chatroom op's for any comments about this and none have been forthcoming, and so I must assume that everything is ok.
Can I ask though that the players don't just try to be at the top of the alphabetical room listings. Any rooms that begin with a "non alphanumic character" like a space or a fullstop or similar punctuation will not make it until judging time.
