If extras lounge is the only way into chat why not give everyone extras until the issue is sorted, or move chat entry to server 2 like it used to be.
SH risks losing members by not setting up a quick work around whilst server 1 is fixed.

Couldn't agree more with the above comments. Lack of communication is an issue too - downtime of this nature should warrant some sort of message on the chat home page. It is easy to think the problem is your end rather than SH's end and a message would at least stop up wanting to throw our computers out the window.

Entry into chat usually works by sending you to the emptiest server as server 1 is down it shows as no one in there hence sending you to the server that is down

How does it?? Because i cant access chat which is what I use the site for. Free access would get me most of the rest.
I know it sends you to the emptiest server thats obvious, but a work around should be simple.
A lot of people are disgruntled about the reliability of Chat at the moment, if you spend time in the chatrooms you see comments all the time.
I am sure SH dont need defending, they just need to sort it, or members will be lost. That means less revenue, and that means problems will be harder to fix because there will be less resource. You then get a spiral of decline.
And please dont misunderstand me, I want sh to thrive and be good. So I was making sugestings and pointing oput the consequences of the problems. As for the 13p that was tongue in cheek

The default servers are broken folks...however, if you have Swingingheaven Xtra's, you can enter chat via the Xtra's Lounge, however Server 1 will still not work. Join the party!

Server 1 is the default server. However Xtra's have their own lounge which doesn't use Server 1. This one is accessible. SH apologises to anybody who hasn't got the Xtra package, but this is an ongoing problem which is being worked on at the present time.

Whilst your frustrations are appreciated, all other area's of the site are working, and whilst SH has no control over the behaviour of its servers, they still apologise to non-Xtra's and can only endeavour to resolve this problem as soon as possible!

I do not use other areas much, i like the chat,and xtras is just as it say's they make the xtra

Roughly 13 pence per day apparently... adverts can still be placed, which after all ladies and gents is the reason you joined in the frist place. The problems on Server One are due to be fixed as soon as possible, and SH appreciates the anger felt by its members, but it is not always possible for a miracle, so please bear with!

Rob-val, there is nothing to make you continue your membership, and if you are unhappy with the service SH provides, you have the recourse to go elsewhere. However personally, i have had many successful years on SH and am happy to take the rough with the smooth.

Are you part of the sh team? and as for adverts being placed, i like to chat get to know people in chatrooms, plus with cams to see them, ads and pictures on profiles are no guarantee of genuine people.

sorry to get involved here but i really dont like this type of attitude
i personaly like it here in fact love it in here.
but i see a lot of this type of attitude elsewhere in my lifeand outside of here life too..
especialy when there are many many members here still..it give me the impresion that im only wanted in here for my subscription... it makes me feel that im not wanted in here when these words are spoken.
