can someone please clarify for me what is exactly classed as directing cos i am sick of arguing with people when i have room control my understanding is no, telling, asking, suggesting, begging etc but what about questions like do you wear nylons or ' i wish mrs XXX xcam would slip down Earthy
Asking, begging, hinting, suggesting etc are all forms of directing. If you have probs with anyone who persists with directing after giving them warnings, please let one of the chat op's know and we can deal with it. Persistent directors may be placed on a ban and there is no reason for anyone to accept unwanted directions - in any form. TJ

thank you i just always seem to end up in a debate with someone that thinks unless they give a direct instruction everything is fine and i couldnt find anywhere on the site that actually stipulates whats what xx
no uok i think you are its very annoying to have to sift through the constant uninvited whispers and the directing when you are on cam its not as easy to ignore as you think if it goes on and the offenders are not put into check ....... as well as them breaking the chatroom rules perhaps we shoudnt have any rules in society and just ignore what goes on around us from petty things like being rude and offensive in public (same thing in chat)

With respect, directing in non directing rooms is against site rules.....as is whispering uninvited in ANY room..... i'm missing the point too. There are rules. The rules are being broken, and you are saying thats perfectly acceptable. Is that what you are saying? I'll try that line next time I get stopped for speeding. "I know there is a speed limit officer, but I'm ignoring it". You think it'll work? Ian

Ian and my point is that i had room control, the enjoyment of the people in there and the adherence to the rules was my responsibility, i wanted to make sure they were adhered to properly or i can be the one in bother for not running the room properly so the clarifiction on the no directing was justified, if the rules werent necessary they wouldnt be there, people arent performing seals. Sara I accept and respect to a point what your saying, but it's also annoying to have to sift through the constant reminders of the rules, if someone is breaking those rules and are whispering to you in private and they offend you, whisper the rules back to them in private, Not the room, the majority of the room knows the rules, ( that's the obvious ) and don't need constant reminders. and why cut and paste there whispers to the room, we don't want to know what there saying to you, is that not something else, we then have to sift through? if the room controllers are not seeking self publicity why publicise the whispers! anyway Sara I'm off so we will have to agree to disagree. would we be on this forum if the chat rooms where open ? uok

i am in chat and in the forum as well its not the room controllers that cut and paste its the general chatters that do it to make the room host aware they are beining whispered and by whome. we will have to disagree yes as you obviously are a more tollerent person when it comes to rule breaking than i am

Sara if you knew me you wouldn't say I was a tolerant person...lol, I've been on here for about 5 years was regularly on cam and often controlled the room, i just learnt to ignore the whispers & directing, those rules have always been in place but it still goes on, so its not working is it, I don't condone it, I just don't let it get to me. one's first step to wisdom is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything. uok

As already been stated..it is against the site rules so why should you have to ignore it? We get pissed off with the directors. There is no line to be drawn here..warn them and if they persist kick them from the room , or better still if they persist or argue the toss...report them. If more were reported and banned am sure after a while the " problem " would be much less!! And that would be great for most of us.
