Do you take the chat rooms seriously?

I like being cheeky, and quiet often find myself feeling mischievous around sh. I don't like the normal in chat, I like a laugh and a joke. So last night I was feeling bored but mischievous and saw a room called "direct her" so thought I would go in see what it was about, and feeling in a playful mood, I thought I would go on cam and not let anyone direct me as I never strip anyone, I didn't know what response I would get, I did ask if there was a room host around, nobody replied. The room soon got busy, and everyone took it in good spirit that I wouldn't do as I was told, we ended up having a good laugh instead. Many said before leaving they were happy they stumbled in there.
So what i would like to ask is.
Would you have seen the funny side of this?
Do you expect a room to do what it says on the door?
Do you think I was taking the piss?

I don't think you were taking the piss. If anything, sticking to your guns and NOT allowing yourself to be directed allowed people to get to know you better. I know I would have respected you for it. Many's the time I've gone into a room which has started out totally serious (I.E. no one was bantering, hardly any public chat and cams "Business-like"), but as you said one comment made or a common belief in something and such a room can be a riot of fun.
I don't believe in rooms being confined to what it's description says. I'm nearly always found in the Midlands room on Server 3, and although it's made up of mainly Midlanders anyone is welcome in there as long as common curtesy and common sense is observed.
Ultimately, the chat rooms are for fun - too many rules and constrictions and it loses so much.
