How do i put a pic on my main profile page??

As the heading says, how do i show a picture on my main profile page??
I notice a few profiles show them confused

Go to My Profile, open photos tab, open your album, choose a pic, click the icon at the side of it (could be a lock if its private at the mo) and the photo should open up. Under the pic is a choice to make it your profile pic.
