i just want to say that I have lost the best mate on this site. As you all know matt1979 has been a member of the NE room for a cpl years now and has decided to call it a day, He has decided to take a break from it all, but What i want to say is im gutted and feel i lost a part of me. That might sound stupid to some of you, But he was my mate. I know he had a lot of friends from the room, some closer than others but at the end of the day he was a good was always around if you needed him and could always chat to him when you felt was an excellent guy to have around in the room. So quick and witty and his banter was really miss him, he was the ne room to me.
:cry: It's come as a horrible shock. Elton and I have spoken about it and we both feel incredibly saddened. Matt's a great mate, a good laugh and a genuinely good guy. We will miss him tonnes but as long as he's happy then we should be too. How do other people cope in this situation?
wish i knew marya i just cant cope with it,most peeps in the room will know matt and I got on great. But I just cant let go,I dont know how Ill deal with it, but as you say marya if hes happy then we have to wish him well but im gutted.

How do other people cope in this situation?
It takes time. A very close friend of mine left the community a fair while ago. She was well known and liked by the community in general. Although I still get an email every know and then, it's nowhere near the same. Obviously it was a choice that she had to make, and everyone supported it. If she ever wanted to come back - even just to post and be here amongst friends, she'd get the biggest welcome back ever from me. I think the posts on here reflect how I feel about her. I think I may have spoken to Matt in chat at some time - his name is familar (and I'm terrible with names :shock: ), so if you're reading this Matt good luck, and if you ever need to come back for what ever reason I'm sure everyone will be glad to see you
Elton I really think you have done this Matty a great service in the way you are mourning his departure from the NE chatroom and i'msur ,though unfortunately not knowing him that he would be bashfully flattered by your comments. I know i would! I have made some great friends in chat. Some i/we have met and some fantastic cyber buddies who we may never get to meet though none the less in chatland they are the ones who i would invite round for dinner and let sit in my chair. Mrs Lost and I most definately mourn the loss of a cpl from our local room in Chatland. Who i know if they saw this would find it hard to believe but mattered to us greatly. I know this is using your post for our own ends but .....J and A Where the f*** are you? Mr L misses talking to the 'lads' and the bloke with the hair bigtime! And Mrs L misses the as well. Feel for ya Elton know what your going through life goes on in chat as it does in RL sometimes it just dont figure and the fun aint there.

No, I can't see a problem with it. This is proof positive that the chat rooms CAN be used for something other to tommy tank over. I've met a lot of people this way, and if this a way of helping you cope then so be it

There are lots of people around like this person in most regular rooms. We obviously do not know him at all, but sounds like a top person. My point is there is always the telephone to chat to him on. By all the replies, am sure he will feel very humbled that so many people think this way. Happy swinging

sexkitten (stalking) is a harsh word to use,something I would never do. If being concerned about a good mate and expressing that in the forum, is stalking then yes i am. But if thats how its coming across then maybe I should say no sure he will be in touch soon, But thanks for your comment.
i dont blame him for taking a break or having a new profile. It only takes one person to say something and you reconsider why your here.I myself will be doing something similar once my membership ends. It doesnt matter if you help people privately in chat when they have problems or just get close by whispering, the real truth is you never know that person and by spending lots of time in the chatroom you sort of become addicted to it. A break from it i would recommend as far to many people think they are something special or gods gift because they opened up a room on a server and have that all important boot button. Like your friend i too have helped people when they had problems and i could see when they were in some difficulties but in truth the person doing the helping is being used and sometimes taking onboard other problems add to your own. Maybe your friend felt this, he seems to have a good nature and may have just been running on empty for too long. I have the upmost respect for him and his decision. Good luck to him.

my problems are not important because i can walk away from here without it having a lasting effect. From what i have read and what has happened has effected you and that is different. I helped someone out a while ago (another member here) and soon after they were sorted that person treated me like dirt, and infront of , i have been used. Listening to other members about things going on in their life is not a good must always understand that you (the listener)is only getting one side of the story so what maybe being told may not be totally truthful. My problem is im serious about people want to chat and others not and in my experience moving the conversation onto something like msn means you got no chance because you can then be used as a listening tool or simply blocked when not needed. I dont have the time to waste so when it is im angry and i go a little of the edge on my all deal with things differently. Now back to you.I can relate to your situation. Just over a year ago i started talking to someone from another first it was ok and we got along really well but everytime i ask to meet her she would say no or make an excuse. Then finally i pressed her and told her all contact with me would be then told me about her marriage and later her course i was shocked because she hadnt told me about her son but i excepted it and still wanted to meet her.I thought she was happy with this as we were talking more on te phone and she was sending me lots of text also was very worried when i sustained serious injurys from motorbike crash whilst about a month later she totally disappeared, without warning she was dead,mobile changed,the site we used her profile deleted, she was gone. Then someone out of the blue contacted me and told me that she had been seeing someone else and he had given her a bad bad i dont know, something i could never do. But even now if she contacted me i would be happy just to know she is ok. What i'm trying to tell you is at sometime in our lives we never comes back and the hands of the clock always travel inside kills, this i know but you have to pick yourself up and drive on. Everyone has reasons to leave, its understanding them which is the hardest thing to do. In time you will recover and someone else will take his place, right now you may not think it will and when it does you'll be smiling again. Speak to you soon.
matt is a very vivacious person , whom everyone who knew him looked forward to speaking to him in chat . his decision to leave the site was an admirable thing to do and the reasons he gave even more admirable. people come and go in our lives and some leave a very empty void that we feel will never be filled, but nature has a habit, in time, of doing just that, filling the void with someone new. we never forget peeps who make a mark on our lives but remember them with a smile and a fondness only we know how deep. tyracer, i would like to give u a big hug!! well done for coming through your experience, and with time and good friends elton, you will do the same. we all love yah and are all here for you, dont forget that, and matt if uyou do read this, i promise not to lock you in my cellar again lol xxxxxxxx
tryracer thanks for telling me about your experiance, it touched me when I read what you have said has made me think about other people and what they might be going through. Alendtra your words brought a tear to my eyes how soft lol. yesterday I sent matt an e mail wishing him all the best in life, so matt if you read this,I meant every word. and yes its time to let go and get on with life.I just want to thank everyone thats added to this post, its help me loads.
