why do guys always want to drag us out of chat rooms onto msn? can chat just as easily here (and cam as well)
seems to me its just so they can pop on your screen to pester every time we log in. best one was message saying you shagging tonight then ?when my son was on pc. just spent 20 mins be reluctant to use the email adress that lets them add us in future.
I've spent ages defending single guys, but this sort of thing is just uncalled for.
I'm really sorry you've had this experience, but there are some decent guys out there. No really! It just seems they're a dying breed.
sad :( :(
I thought mention of alternate sites in open chat or posting email addy's was against the AUP confused:
I know a lot of guys like that..
Makes it more personal to them. The can chat with the person without other getting involved, more just 1 to 1. Makes them think they have a better chance of getting with the person.
Just another why the can more themselves ahead of the competion..

Agree with you bbw though I think there are a lot of decent sgl blokes out ther its just the few tw*ts make the most noise as per usual.
As for MSN we only ever give it out to people we have spoken to for a looooooong time and maybe met etc. We pay £50:00 for S-H and the service it provides so we use as much as we can. With the internal site mail and the (consented to) whisper function is there that much need to disclose MSN?? For some maybe i guess? but not us.
Oh, and for the record i think that in my experience there are equally as many badly behaved if not worse!! at times couples pound for pound.

MSN is just something people are addicted to at the moment. Most people are able to ring someone on a mobile, but most will still text instead.
Plus with MSN you can see when someone is online ;) So you are more likely to get an instant response, you are also very more likely to reply to a msn message than an email.

Absolutely right. If I see an email addy in the room, the room will be cleared without warning. Very annoying if you've just got a message aimed for you. Then I will check out if the person who posted it in the room has done this before and then deal with them accordingly. evil

As for my personal view, I'd only ever, ever, ever give my MSN address out to people I've talked to for a long time and feel I can trust........ and I've still been stung and had to block people.
Just be honest with folks and maybe ask them why they want your MSN address when they can PM/chat to you through the site. That way if they do start to become a nuisance at least there's someone you can turn to (ie site admin) for some help. ;)

You mean there's text in your profile as well. OMG!!!!

Well the message system here is good for the purpose it was designed for, but it doesn't have all the features one might like. One of the features It lacks is the inability to send attachments -- pictures added to one's own collection take up to 24 hours to clear, so its hard to say "these are the pictures of us last night " and some you might not want on your profile, even as privates, anyway. So there is room for other systems, but as previously mentioned care is required when deciding who to give your address to.
I don't worry about giving out my msn address - it's not remotely related to anything personal about me so I don't see why particular "care" or "caution" needs to be exercised especially.
However, I do find it annoying this obsession some people have with wanting to be added to your msn - within minutes of private chat on here, they're begging for it. "Have you got msn?" Well, yes of course I have, it's the 21st century ffs - even my 57 year old mother and 9 year old kid have got msn!
Is it some kind of status symbol? Is it so they can get your attention as and when they want it and not constricted by SH rules?
9 times out 10* I end up blocking and deleting anyway 'cos they either start to talk in a manner I find inappropriate or they don't talk at all and I have no idea who they are after a week or 2. lol
* educated guess! wink

 I`m sorry !!! You let your son use a pc that has an MSN address signed in that you use to talk to people on sex sites ???
Both Mrs f and myself set up new email addresses when we first started using swinging sites. The addresses are not openly stored on the computer and They would definately NOT automatically sign into MSN when the comp is switched on.
Well said flower, i also have a separate msn addy which has NO relevance to my real world, and gives nothing away - in fact i hardly use it anymore as you add someone and a couple of weeks later its like who are you, or you add them and they think it gives them automatic rights to jump on you every time you log on ????? and why oh why do people ignore the BUSY sign
right i have had my rant xxx
I would never ever give my normal email address to anybody I had met in any chatroom let alone a sex site.
I just assumed this was common practice. Am I the only person that is surprised by this ??

I`m guessing, but I`d assume that the fixation with msn is to get as many people added in as short a time possible cos then they don`t have to pay for further membership to SH. dunno
OH! Very good point!

This is an excellent point Lost. People seem to attach more relevance to men who behave badly, but seem to ignore the fact that women, and couples, can (and do) behave badly, as also indicated by X_fanny_x.

yes its short, not so sweet and to the point its amzing tho how many do not know there is any text there,
i still find it amazing the amount of people that wisper (without asking) then go on to say im bla bla you sound bla bla heres my msn bla or heres my number ffs happens daily as well i do use msn but i only like people on there who i get on with , like regulars from the room i frequent to me everything can be said on the site like lost said theres the pm system, the wispers and chat to
just look at the way munches and socials are arranged hundreds of people meeting together in 1 place without any problems and only with the help of the forum and a few pms

yep, same here. I've added ppl to msn b4 who I've not got to know first and had to block them. But then, you get asked if u have msn. My reply would be something along the lines of "Yes we do have msn but I dont like to give it out willy-nilly. I like to get to know ppl b4 I add them. Plus we hardly ever use it anyway". Then they go off in a huff mad rolleyes
I give in, sometimes to avoid this I occasionally say "No, we dont have msn" just to avoid the strops lol

Thats a very valid point, but do you always sign out when you pop to the toilet etc? its very easy to forget you are signed in to these services, for all you know they also have a seperate msn that isn't stored on the pc either, but that still doesn't help if you forget to log out or leave it unattended for a minute or so as thats all it takes.

easy solution .. create a password protected user accounts on your pc, and lock your account everytime you leave the pc for washroom visit etc. "ctrl-alt-del + enter" and it will lock your account - simple! when you return to the pc, enter the password and off you go again. if you are away for a longer period, others can still use the pc but not have any visibility or access to your account to see all sorts of naughty messages there.
When I have guests over and they need to use the pc, I have 1 any user open account for guests. that way they do not have visibility to any of my bookmarks, msn, etc etc esp most of those are on auto login.
