What is the idea behind allowing people to be in several rooms at once Its bad enough trying to get into rooms without people sitting in there just for the sake of it Can someone enlighten me lol?????
Sorry but this new system sucks. Everyone is in every room...seesawing between rooms..no one really staying and starting a conversation... NOT a good development.
I think there should be an automatic kick if you are inactive for 15 minutes, to allow people who do want to enter and participate in certain rooms to get in. Also a feature that lets others know you are browsing other rooms so that people don't think you are ignoring them in chat would be good.
i think its great to be able to be in more than one room its a feature i used lots beofre the new chat was brought in and im very glad its back it makes it far more interesting for me :)
Multi room chat is really crap. only about 40% of people in the rooms are actually in your room chatting, hence the lack of chat. when you look at the room list they are all full and impossible to get in!! one word Bonkers
I totally agree. Now you think, wow, that room looks busy, must be good. You spend ages clicking trying to get in and find it's full of the same people in all of the other rooms. My vote is please change it back.
Genuine chatters will always chat regardless of how many rooms they're in. Cam watchers will always just clog up a room... Although, I must admit to liking the multi-room access. I preferred them as separate windows rather than tabs, which made responding easier as I could see the chat side-by-side. Flipping through the 'tabs' between typing lines is a lot slower and in a fast moving room is almost impossible to keep up.

Gu, Like you, would prefer 'open in separate/new window' rather than 'open in new tab' option so that it's easier to visually manage separate rooms and associated whispers with each chatroom. Agree with fast moving rooms, however as the end user it's easy to close one and stay in a prefferred room, etc.
yep another vote for non multi room acsess here ya cant get into any of the normal holding rooms as they are all at 100 and then ya cant get into other as they stay full now as well bad bad bad idea IMO worked well as it was thanks
Multi-room is shite (in my personal opinion). I feel like I'm talking to myself half the time!! Is it just a coincidence that since the multi room was introduced chat is running really slow and I am being frozen out about every 15 mins or so?
Yet another night of frustration with this new system and I'm just going to have to say something. Sorry guys but it just doesnt work! .. Apart from the bugs, new fixes, which are bound to happen are at times tolerable . The main problem is the navigation through the site and chat . I really dont know who designed it but it wasnt thought out . Who came up with this idea of all the cams in all the rooms yet no one knows which room anyone is in so you have to trawl through the rooms to find them.. only to find they are now gone Grrr .. Other than that cams freeze, system lags, no one knows who is on line or not .. because the system tells you they are when they arent ! and sometimes they are when they appear not to be .. its really frustrating I can see the general idea as something goos but for me it just doesnt work , added to that the very poor number of video uploads each week and obvious dwindling numbers in membership ..or so it seems . Its clear a rethink is needed or even better a return to the old system which worked well enough and i was happy with it . So people thats my "say" to which I feel I'm entitled to as a paying member of some years . I dont know how many people are tolerating things or just trying to be nice but I surely cant be the only one suffering this ? If I am then .."I'll get my coat" cancel subscription and wish you all luck If not then I think people should say what their experiences are on here and if necessary as I said before put it to a vote . Don't want to sound negative but its really ticking me off tonights as it has all day and previous other days . I will be cancelling my subscription I'm afraid if things dont improve quickly . Again sorry for being so negative.. I'm a nice chap really lol Look forward to seeing what everyone else thinks or if we need to put it to a poll? A
i guess im lucky cus i havnt had any problems with chat running slow since the multi room access has been brought in ! nor have i had problems getting into rooms anymore than i used to before multi room access was brought in ! however i have found that i chat far more than before mainly because im able to find the people i chat to in various rooms instead of me being stuck in just the one room :)
Hmm chin scratching begins !..the above message seems almost too complimentary ..but I would hate to cast any aspirtions . I'm just on here to agree with the majority of people in saying the new chat is terrible . I absolutely hate it , its confusing and totally frustrating for all the reasons already highlighted . Additionally the "who is on line " thing doesnt work and continues to provide false information . Other than that rooms are lagging , difficult to actually chat to someone you want to , its ok just to rabbit on to anyone I suppose but terrible for anything else. All the cams in the same place but you cant find where people are ! .. crazy idea beyond belief . Anyway thats my comments . I really am very dissapointed you changed things which were working perfectly well beforehand to something that just makes me want to break things .. not what I'm looking for to relax and unwind after a tough day . I hope peopel are taking note of the comments about this and are having second thoughts about leaving things as they are or changing back to good old easy to use , follow and have fun with chat . As bluntly SH if you don't get it working right soon . I'm afraid I'll be off . Oh and still no reply on the support ticket I raised yesterday . A
I think the new chat model is great, we are both on there more often than we ever have been in all our years of membership. I suppose if you don't like it then there are other sites, in a commercial environment where a great many don't pay for Extras, but a very quick to criticize... well quite frankly they won't be missed. We enyjoyed free membership for a couple of years but then paid for the extras - worth it to add the extra pics, not really for the extra webcams though. As for support tickets - we have had our concerns dealt with the same day, but like I say if you don't pay then you can't really complain if there is a delay. If you do pay for a service though, it is right that any concerns should be dealt with quickly.

Tonight I have gone into chatroom... 5 rooms all full with 100 people in them... and the beach bar was the room I was plonked into... also full.. and sat there for 5 mins and not a single bit of chat text came up.... no one speaking.. Its game over for me in the chatrooms. You cannot get into a room and when you can no one is in them.. how daft is that??
Suppose could ask Admin to change the parameters so as to prevent people multi-rooming across - The Beach Bar - The Jacuzzi - The Pool - The Sauna - The Terrace i.e the permanent rooms any views ?

Just my little two penny worth as a long standing member (far too long I guess !) I think that most people who are using the multi room function are more doing so they can stay with a cam in one room, whilst looking thru the other rooms ? If so, would that help the issues people are having ? ie you dont have to be in the room , just be able to stay with a camera ? I like the idea of multi rooms, but have found it grinds the speed of the site on my pc down severly. Have also encountered the odd issue where the system gets confused what room you are in ! Maybe the site just needs to upgrade the servers ? Plenty of £50 memberships in the old pot I think !? Oh and its Friday afternoon and the chatroom has crashed - I cant get in :-( Ah well , Im off to Xtasia tonite - would love to hear off anybody else going from here. Hooters
