I dunno if any one else has noticed, but my chat has really slowed down since the room changes, even when not watching cams I'm getting a lot of lag, never had this problem before it changed...anyone any ideas??
Also, alot of the smilies have now gone...are they coming back??? :-D

Grrrr yer loads of lag not interested in cam,s why fix whats not broke perhaps next time someone thinks about fixing chat rooms they should ask members if they want it fixed....bet it all crashes at the weekend any takers lol
I like it - the new cams and the new layout, spacing, font, emoticon size etc :thumbup:
It's just change and this is a 'normal'/typical reaction to it - people will have forgotten what 'old' Chat looked like in a few weeks :P If any of you have ever come across 'Who Moved My Cheese?' you'll know what I mean. If not, Google it and see what you you find

i agree to a certain extent that the chat room need to evolve.. but as with anything some people will like it and some people wont, the new chat still has issues but possibly the site could adjust it and improve it...
the disable whispers ? it stops all whispers.. what about my friends that whisper..?? i dont want to ignore them... be better if u had an "ignore user" button so u can choose who u want to stop whispers from...
Multi cams ? maybe a choice on a button how many cams u want to display.. 2 or 4 etc..

so something that is against site chat room rules should be ignored and tolerated rather than dealt with in a way that discourages other would be whisperers.
should this then be converted to everyday life where bad manners are not tolerated.

why should i have to put up with something that is bad manners plus i dont want to have to be reporting everyone who whispers without permission i am not that petty but i would just like some common courtesy and ask and get a yes before whispering
perhaps the block all whispers is a good idea but the facility to just let those in your friends list to whisper could be incorporated automatically so when you enter chat and chose your colour and also if you want to enable sounds when you click on disable whispers it does not disable them from your friends list

Ummm other than that I can't really see that much that has changed. It works, I can chat to people, people can chat to me. I have loads of choices of cams. I have no idea why I would want to look at so many people but I am pleased as punch that I have the choice.........

why would the time the room was opened at be useful?? i like the feature on msn where it timestamps the convo ... makes it easier to refer to if something happened
The only thing that i'm getting really ticked off with now is the constant go slow/lag and then eventual crash, worse in the evenings whens its busy and getting fed up keep having to try to log out and then back in. I know its not my laptop, everything is up to date etc and a lot of others are having problems with crashing constantly and these probs have only started since the Tweaking.
Please please please can someone let us know if these probs are being addressed.

fancy that - i've been away a few days (boooo to vanilla life) and decided that tonight i'd have some chill out time in the chatroom.
After a while, guess what, the lag starts up, my text starts taking 8 seconds per letter to appear on the chat line
Seriously thinking whether i can be asked to continue my subscription
And the worse thing, i dont see admin coming back on any of the numerous threads now running with any answers about what the problem is or whether they are even working on it and lets face it, its been going on a while now.

Since the new multicam layout there are two main things I think would make the chatroom easier to use and less irritating.
1 Do we really need 5 cams on show? By the time you've expanded the window in order to see all potentail cams there's nothing else to see on your computer monitor, and I've got a 24 inch screen but still find this slightly clunky.
Could we just have three instead?
2 The layout is also not very user friendly. It is quite aggravating to keep having to click on the View Rooms button, which also doesn't always work first time so you need to click it two or three times.
Wouldn't it be better to have another column next to the Chatters column, possibly headed with the server name, which displayed all the rooms currently avavilable on that server? It would also help by making it easier to see where you are in the chatrooms.

I certainly never intended to imply that anyone was thick but if all 5 cams have sound on then, with the various delays, it becomes a mess as havethe_faithposted above. If you could select the sound from just one or two cams it might be OK.
