you may need to reset the Flash settings:
right click on the camera button and select the settings option, select the second tab (privacy) and make sure allow and remember are selected, then click close.
Now left click the camera button and it should work.

using firefox version 2.6.8
when looking at profile fron new chat, the chat screen goes blank... indeed this happens with any link from the new chat.
this also happens with the old chat using firefox... microshite internet exploreer is ok

I'm peturbed that the AIR app seems to be asking for unrestricted access to all files my PC. That's a real worry....

The chat doesn't access your local files or leave any files on your computer, apart from itself obviously.
It installs on the computer and is available for anybody who uses it, but feel free to remove the short cuts from the start menu and desktop. It requires you to log into the chat each time its opened. We've just noticed it does mention 'Swinging Heaven' in the description of the chat, this will be removed and we will brand this as 'SH Chat' only, and use the SH logo which is quite anonymous.

Not sure if this has been covered - but tried to access from my iphone (Safari) and launch successfully and managed to post.
Worked fine - cams did not come up but when the page filled with text, you could not scroll down.
May be one to fix in the future - access via iphone in chat would be brilliant.

We are so fed up of viruses on our pc we are moving to macs but their
Is a huge problem with flash........is their a flash free version of the chat?

as this wil explain the issue that iPad and iPhone users will have with any aspect of any website using Adobe Flash Player.
The new Chat has moved the main 'chat' etc. to a non-Flash based solution, however the 'cams' part still relies on Flash, hence why you can't see any cams.
As for the reference to chat not scrolling, all I can say is that other iPad and iPhone users have successfully accessed the new Chat, so they might be able to advise you further.

hopefully that middle paragraph also provides a partial answer to your question, I'll leave Elliott/Admin to advise if further down the line there will be a non-Flash solution developed.
However, getting slightly technical for a moment.... HTML5 is currently under development as the next major revision of the HTML standard. Like its immediate predecessors, HTML and XHTML 1.1, HTML5 is a standard for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. The new standard incorporates features like video playback and drag-and-drop that have been previously dependent on third-party browser plug-ins such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Google Gears.
HTML5 video is an element introduced in the HTML5 draft specification for the purpose of playing videos or movies.
Adobe Flash Player is widely used to embed video on web sites such as YouTube, since the majority of web browsers have Adobe's Flash Player installed (with exceptions such as the browsers on the Apple iPhone and iPad and on Android 2.1 or less). HTML5 video is intended by its creators to become the new standard way to show video online.
Therefore when the HTML5 standard is agreed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), it is estimated that HTML5 will reach W3C Recommendation by late 2010, then all websites can start writing code to this new internationally agreed standard for browsers and therefore Swinging Heaven will have a set of standards to work to, so that video/web cam will no longer be dependant on browser plug-ins such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Google Gears.

Just tested the new chat with a Playstation 3 console, not that anyone will be interested 
Sadly the new chat does not load on a Playstation 3 console at all
No big issue I use the PC when I do go in but I just like to fiddle with things. The old/current chat loaded on a Playstation 3 and you could chat plus view cams however you could not be on cam as the chatroom was unable to detect the Playstation 3's camera.

How about putting the room opener's name at the end of the room title?
So rather than "Wife wants two young guys" and everyone who comes in asks 'whose wife?' the room title would be "Wife wants two young guys (Sexy2ofus)".

whilst the new Beta Chat is itself NOT Flash based, the camera sessions within it are still Flash based.

Putting the opener's name at the top of the chatters list is just as good as putting it in the room title. Great! Many thanks.
I can't see cameras in the new room and my cam won't work in the new room. Just get the circle of dots till it times out and say unable to connect to video server.
Cams work perfectly in old rooms.
Problem is the same in Beta chat and in Desktop chat. I have the latest version of IE8 and the latest version of Adobe Flash.
This machine is XP - could that be the cause?
Cams worked in the new rooms a few days ago but I can't remember if I was on my other machine which is Vista (not here at the mo so can't try it) or whether it was this XP machine.
Anyone else with Windows XP had problems with cams in the new room? Or anyone with XP got cams working OK in the new room?

Cams now working in new room. The dots go round for about 40 seconds before others' cams appear and also takes about 40 seconds for the Allow/Deny options to come up when I turn my cam on - but then it works fine.

If this was your first time in Beta Chat, did you try a couple of times ?
(Occasionally clicking on cameras the first time doesn't work, but it usually does on 2nd or 3rd attempt. Dunno why either, just something some of us have noticed)
As you only mentioned cams not working, then suspect not a new Beta chat issue per se, rather the older technology that is also used.
Can I also suggest checking your version of Adobe Flash Player, just incase Flash related. will do this for you, with version 10,1,82,76 their current up to date release. (If you need to upgrade, then follow their on-screen instructions)
Otherwise, if not Flash then this could be browser related. Therefore, if still having issues then could you post a reply with details as to
(a) your browser, e.g. IE 8, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera, etc.
(b) Operating System, e.g. Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Apple, etc.
(c) whether you are accessing Beta Chat from the main/usual Chatroom option on the main SH site, or via the Desktop method
This should help several of us to try and diagnose/offer suggestions over the weekend pending Admin/Support being back in the office on Monday
