It looks like this is sorted now, although we didn't get a chance to find out what happened before the fix, if anyone else has had this happen to them, please pm me so that we can identify what is happening.

Same problem on an iPad. Very annoying indeed, rendering chat largely useless

new chat works just fine on the iPad here.
Well (ish) as you can't get cams up in new Chat on either an iPad nor iPhone due to Apple's well known fall out with Adobe, meaning that Apple won't allow Adobe's Flash Player to be installed on any of the Apple mobile devices (iPad/iPhone),

Sady not, but having 4-5 other 'puters here it's never an issue.
Hopefully Support are now working on the previously mentioned Apple 'mobile' (iPhone/iPad) app, which should address this

Hi,
When I open a pop out window with sound the sound seems to be duplicated with a slight delay much like an echo. This 'echo' disappears when the pop out window is 'poped in'.

new chat doesnt seem to be working this morning
i get the msg application error when i try to use it
its not just me who has the problem either, theres lots of people in old chat this morning all with the same problem smile

They seem ok to me, are you sure that its not as a result of the whisper blocker.

no its not because of that lol
during the day they have worked intermittently
and its not just happeneing to me
i do sugest to people when they have problems to add to this thread or send in a suport ticket but i dont think many do

We have had some more reports of this happening and are looking into it, if this happens to anyone else would they let us know when and what type of browser they are using.

im not certain what a browser is but is it firefox etc
iv used both firefox and ie and its happened with both althou it seems to b ok so far today smile

its currently taking forever for chat to appear in the room and when you click on a cam your not getting the person the names belongs to you have to hunt through the cams till you find the right person but its the wrong name hope that makes sense

whispers arnt working again today

i have been asked by another person that here to report that their whispers are showing in
the main chatroom conversation but they have 2 arrows at the side

This occurs when whispers are set to be inline with the chat room in the chat room settings.

Hi, I no longer get the whisper icon displayed when I click on a member's name in the chatroom, I just get the 'View user profile' icon to the right of the member's name. This icon seems to have disappeared after the chat system was restarted earlier this the week.
There's a similar problem with the Desktop version, although here the whisper icon is initially displayed (and works) but it disappears at some stage during the session.
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, Firefox , Flash , Flash plugin , Adobe Air 730

It's set to Allow all, however on opening the Chat Settings ' noticed that Settings / Show Whispers' dropdown was set to 'Inline with chat room'. When I amended the dropdown to ' In separate tabs' I got the Whisper icon back so that's fine now.
The desktop version is also behaving correctly as far as the whisper icon is concerned - although a new version installed installed when I went to test it. However Settings and font colour are still not remembered between sessions (unlike the Chatroom version).

Arrrggggghhhhhhh is it at all possible oh god of the whisper thingy, to make it like it was before, when you close a profile it cuts off the whisper thing and reverts back to typing in the room....pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze
It's getting so i'm scared to look at a profile sad

Just include details as to
- which operating system, e.g. Windows XP, Vista, etc.
- which browser, e.g. Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, etc.
Support will probably see the support ticket before they get to the Forum threads

i get into chat fine but then after a while i get booted out .... just goes to a white screen

can't get into chat tonight, keep getting this pop up-
"sorry your session has timed out, please use original link and try again"
