New Chat Beta

As regards to a good feature in the new chat.

Mods and Admin used to have to clear ALL chat if something "dodgy " or against the chat room rules was posted.

Now we have the ability to remove just the offending message or media by itself and leave the rest of the chat untouched.

There will be other good points I'm sure and I belive that once all the bugs are fixed,the chat will be awsome but when that will be, is up to the back room boys.

The old chat was around since the site started in the early 20's and I seem to remember the same moans re bugs etc.

In my opinion,nothing great happens overnight,it takes time and effort.

As lap says,there is another well known site whose chat room resembles msn chat from the 90's,the reason it works is that it's had 30 odd years to get to that stage.

We are just normal members who volunteer to help out and we just have a few extra buttons so we get where you all are coming from.

Makes a lot of sense to why I wasn't getting any issues- nobody on my block list!

I have 3, and they are all showing as "Unknown User", so I'd be surprised if that's the cause of the extreme slowdowns I'm experiencing, but I'll give it a shot and see.

Interestingly, clicking on the delete button for those three blocks does nothing. Also, clicking on any image shows "Unknown User" still.

The delete might be only for mods and admin.

Really? So I can block people, but I can't unblock them, but there's a button to unblock them? If that's the case, that would be the most guaranteed candidate for the "User Interface Hall of Shame" I've ever seen.

Sorry I misread your text I thought you meant delete the media or chat, maybe the button you speak of to unblock has not been enabled yet, but you can unblock people by using the privacy tab on your account,you should see your block list and then the list of whose blocked and remove will be in red to the right of their name.

Are the unknown users showing in your chat block list settings?

As we can see your main block list is loading usernames - https://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/privacy/settings

This is where you were being directed for the delete (remove) option

The technical team currently have an issue raised to paginate the chat blocks in the chatroom.

Yes, it's the block list in the chat settings, the delete button does nothing.

The most annoying thing about all this for me, I used to enjoy going on cam sometimes, it was fun, just can't do that anymore, within a minute or two of turning on my camera, the entire page grinds to a halt, completely unworkable. It took 12 seconds for the popup to appear for me to turn my camera off!!!

Private Messages dont seem to work for me and some others who noted the same thing, you get the sound notification but no tab no message nothing. Someone wanted to PM me (set to ask each time) the ping went off but nothing. As i knew who it was i then PM'd them and suddenly the tab displays with their previous message shown. This was in Pool Room, via Edge Latest and replicated in Chrome and Chrome Canary also did a F12 - Empty Cache / Hard Refresh to rule out caching

what's up with the chat rooms? no filters / order choice or working cameras in Safari / OS or iOS, no cameras in Firefox (as I have gotten used to)

Anything I can do from my end?

This is crazy! I was just in the room, had one camera showing, the whole crap slowed down so much it took 49 seconds for the popup to show before I could turn the camera off!!!

Completely unusable, what a waste of money! If there was a legal recourse I'd be looking to take it now, because this is definitely not fit for purpose.

On the old system we could both log on and have separate pms..now her msgs come to me and mine to her ..not good when we want to flirt separately..please go back to old system

We get this same issue when we are both on

Not sure if this been raised. Is there a way for those members in the chatroom who match your search requirements to be highlighted? i seem to recall that in the old chatroom they were in bold, but that doesn't seem to be the case in new chatroom.

would save seeing a potential match that is close by only to click through to their profile to find that you are not what they are looking for!

Is there any update on couples chat that I don’t get my partners pms ?

i have not been able to get into the chatroom for quite some time. this is the worst i have known the disruptions to be. is it ever going to be fixed>

I'd suggest you raise a ticket with the support guys, I've just checked and it seems to be working fine for people.
