the new lay out with room below chatters cuts down the number of people on line you can see NOT a good idea
it is almost impossible to click on the vidio icons they are too small especially when ppl enter and laeve they kkep moving
also because there isnt a separate window for thos on cam you and you have to keep scrooling up and down to see whos on cam
this makes it very difficult to use Perhaps you could design a new skin for the new chat to belike the old chat style
Never get rid of the old chat rooms they generally work and are easy to use
any other ideas for immprovment?
Given the fact that a considerable amount of time has obviously been invested in the design and layout of the room (and that it's in late beta) indicates the cosmetics uncutgem commented on are unlikely to change significantly.
I far prefer the old layout. Anything that keeps it simple as possible without all the flashy graphical extras keeps it lean and easy to use. There are loads of far better designed chatroom applications already available (including the existing SH one).
I don't understand why it's necessary to put so many "bells and whistles" onto something that essentially is used for text input with a little video on the side. IMHO the simpler it is to use the better it would be at achieving favour with the widest possible audience.
Helpful suggestions should also include feedback on what works and what doesn't - that's standard user acceptance testing practice.
Well personally I really like the new chatroom - Beta version or not!

Most of the beta work has been trying to get it running efficiently with the cams, the room/user layout isn't finished yet, I expect that the room list will end up at the top taking up about one third of the right column, also the height of each room row needs to be reduced in the same way as the users were, we may also put in a rollover on the left hand cam boxes to view users on cam, but nothing is set in stone yet.
To all of admin and anyone else whos had input :thumbup: love the chatrooms and i do like the why the rooms is seperate to the users list keep up the good work
