but unlike the old chatroom where you stayed logged in to the main site whilst using it... in the new chatroom you get logged off of the main site through not being active - even though you are talking in chat.
Whilst you don't get booted from chat when this happens - it does stop you being able to use the view profile opition - as you just get taken to the homepage to log-in

I think it's only whilst the new chatroom is in beta Polo

OK - those new-fangled pvt message boxes are a pain the arse now! mad

As long as you don't have one open you can ignore them/just close them. But if you do actually want to talk to someone in one... the next tosser that comes along and decideds to open a pvt chat with you (without bothering to acyually ask) gets their private message box to open in place of the one you are using evil

To make it worse... when you close the mesage box of the unwelcomed arse-hole you go back to the lobby isntead of the message box you had been typing in... resulting in a feckin clicking frenzy to get back to where you want to be to finish what you were typing :x

We have been testing the beta chat in IE, part of moving beta onwards will mean sorting out mac issues, but as a beta its not good enough to move forwards yet.

I have a Mac and I assume we Mac users are possibly exempt?? We do have a PC though! I have no idea what 'Beta' means... do you need software for this?
Loaded pretty quickly though even if there seemed to have lots of bits missing!

Added, Thats a flash version issue. With < flash 8, you can't see your own typing, well you can, but its a known bug that it loses the first xx number of chars. I'm not sure what version of flash mac are up to at the moment.
