I dont know if this has been covered before, but hey her we go.......
We are regulars in `mids room` server 3 and is getting full at night very often, and is becoming a pain to get in during those peak times.
We have noticed alot of profile names that take part in no chat at all (ok might be whispering) but never part take in the rooms general good natured chating. On another `inferior` site , the non chatting people get automatically booted from chat room after a set time so it keeps the rotation going of people in & out.
Would this be possible to copy when rooms are full ?
ps i did email a moderator once to boot 10 peeps out to let me in once .......he didnt do it lol

We have found the same thing in a lot of the rooms now - people seem to log on and say nothing. We seem to get the immpression (and this is purely our opinion)that the problem seems to be, that not many profiles are filled in or complete, location "unknown", guys with just cock pics, cpls with just fem pics or who dont even match what thier profile says etc etc and so people click on profiles, see there is nothing there or anything to initiate or attract them in to speaking to people.
Lets be honest, if you click a profile thats blank, your first thoughts are "dont want to speak to them/he/she", so its a perpetual circle.
If anyone else has any reasons or opinions then we would appreciate any feedback.

I have nothing on my profile (and little on my other profile) and I often sit in what would seem to be silence.
Sometimes I am watching the chat while modding the forum. Sometimes I am authorising pictures to one side of my screen. Sometimes I am dealing with issuse in another room.
But most importantly, sometimes I am flirting my ass off in whipser :grin:
People join the site and use it in ways that suits them and if its watchin chat, watching cams or perving a few profiles, then really we shouldn't make a comment.

tonight in the mids room i logged in on a different name i have and guess what not a single person spoke even when i said hi.
secondly a few weeks ago i opened mids room and popped out then couldnt get back in ALL night. Why was that?

im go in the mids room on server 3, in fact im sometimes the host 
however i dont always chat
it depends whos in there as to whether i chat but also sometimes its to busy so i just read :)
i am usually in another room on server 1 and im probably more likely to be chatting in there cus theres less people so its easier to keep up
i wouldnt be to happy tho if i was booted just cus im not chatting in the room

I don't see a link between filling in a profile and striking up a conversation with a group of people you don't know.

Nope. If there is a topic of conversation that I can add to, influence or generally enhance through some witty banter into then I'll join in. Funnily enough I gave up linking chat with potential meets ages ago. I even tried for twelve months just to get a fried egg sarnie in chat. Sure made for some good conversations in the rooms, but never got me out of the house.

Yes the multi room occupancy does mean that sometimes you are talking to a screen that isn't being watched.
A live show on cam often reduces chat down to single syllable comments from some users.
I know that some people go into popular chatrooms early so that they are not locked out when they eventually are ready to chat (similar to towels on sunbeds near the hotel pool).
If people want to sit and watch chat then they are free to do so. Let's face it, at the foot of the forum main page there is a list of users currently reading the forums. Many of them are not posting.
Are we gonna tell them to stop reading the forums unless they post every time they visit?

If sum1 removed me from a room (under my normal site addy) just because i wasnt talking, i'd b most annoyed, i sumtimes go in rooms and just perv the cams, Y?..... cause thats wat i like 2do, this site caters for a wide variety of ppl, with different likes and dislikes, and they can occupy any room they want 2, so if u cant get in2 a room,......

However do think idea being in two rooms for anything, other than mods... should be scrapped....I don't believe you can have a meaningful chat in two rooms at same time !!

All the people who go in the pubs near us do talk to each other because they can physically see them! If they all stood behind a blank sheet, then no one would speak............

I questioned why. What has the personal choice of leaving a profile blank got to do with somebodies ability to hold a live conversation in a chatroom.

If we are going to compare chat rooms to other situations, then look at it from another angle.
If you were looking to buy a car and looked through, say, autotrader site and a blank ad with no photo or description with the heading "car for sale" ....would you enquire about it??

There are alot of valid points after i opened the `can of worms` on this matter.
I have in the past opened the `mids overflow room i cant be arsed to queue` which worked until everyone left the orginal room and filled up that one
Maybe the amount of people in the rooms can be increased. But at the end of the day members can use the chatrooms as they want (within the site rules).
Staggy will no doubt add some fuel to the fire next!

Totally agree Dean. I think the facility should be removed too.
i hope they dont stop it cus otherwise id get soooooooooooooooo bored in chat
i like being in 2 or more rooms and i can read the chat easily even if i dont actually chat
and when im room host (more often on server 1) i can still easily keep an eye on the room and whats going on even if im in other rooms too

Besides people don't always notice someone who's entered the room quietly as they're watching the chat themselves & trying to concentrate on not missing anything... Crikey!! it CAN move so fast.. then you get people telling you off cos you've ignored them :shock: light hearted as thats meant lol.. Even if you try to scroll back to see what ya missed the chat bounces back as soon as someone else posts.. Makes me cross-eyed :huh: sometimes lol.
