Other People on Cam

Just recently a couple's account got a temporary ban for allowing someone else to use their account and chat on cam. Fair enough.
In another room, I saw someone get kicked out the room. It was a single male account and the guy was on cam but wiht 3 other mates.
In loads of rooms, there have been people on cam playing/showing with other people - site members or not, I don't know.
I've been on cam with a friend who is also a site member but it's been me actually typing and I'm always on cam with them.
I know of LOADS of other people who have done this too.
Can someone please specify what is acceptable regarding having others on cam cos I'm a bit confused.
You can have other people on your cam, providing they are aware of the rules and agree to stick to them.
You cannot use the cam in an internet cafe or at work, where people may be in the background and without their knowledge of being on your cam in a swingers web site  lol
What you cannot have is someone else using the pc to type on your account, even if you are there with them on cam.
Only the account holder can use the account - even if you are both members under seperate accounts etc
TJ
Now that makes perfect sense - thankyou RedHot.
So that guy who had his mates on cam with him, got kicked for no good reason?
Yesterday, my friend and i were on cam together, on my account, but I was typing and that's ok too.
Spot on. Cheers!

I am not aware of the incident you refer to, but it may well have been if his mates were acting irresponsibly or not within the guidelines of the AUP, that the room host/op made a decision to boot them from the room.
It is not unknown for guys to bring their mates back from the pub late at night or sign in on their work pc/cam during daytimes and start acting like idiots at the first sight of a fem on cam.
Believe me, I have witnesses such behaviour and it is not only degrading and often abusive towards the fem, it can be disruptive to the whole room.
Members should be aware that such behaviour will not be tolerated and they are at risk of a ban if things get out of hand.
TJ
Oh no no - this isn't a whinge. It was just a one-off incident that i wanted some clarification on.
But! While we're here lol
Another thing - can you put in a chatroom name "NOT ..."
Just for example, could I (not that I want to) open a room saying "NorthEast couples - NO singles" or no fat people or no bi males .. etc etc
and then, if those people who are single/fat/bi come in, it's ok to kick them?
not my thing - just my observations.
To be honest room titles mean very little - for instance, you can put "No single males" "No pudding pullers" etc and they would still come into the rooms, purely to see what they might be missing confused
However, the rules state that you cannot boot someone on account of their status or gender etc.
So whilst you may prefer not to have a certain element of members in a room, it is best not to boot them out unless they are casuing problems with harrassment or whatever - otherwise you may risk a ban being placed on your own account for abuse of the room host facility.

Excellent! I'm off to the "No singles" room then lol

Good idea Marya - all the singles will be in the couples rooms and all the other rooms will be packed to bursting with couples ;-) :lol2:
TJ
Correct me if I'm wrong Red biggrin
...users should adhere to "no directing" where it's listed in the room name.
Interestingly, we have the default of no whispering in all rooms. What's the view amongst Ops/Admin about the validity of "whispering ok" ones? It seems to work ok but I'm just curious.
Ta
That's correct - rooms with no directing in the title means no directing. Anyone directing in such rooms will be warned and then booted if they persist.
Persistant directors will also be banned from the site for a period of minimum 24 hours and anything in between that and permanent.
Regarding whispering in rooms, which some people may not object to receiving whispers, by far the vast majority of members find it intrusive, so this is taken directly from the guidlines of hosting a room
Whispering without permission is not acceptable in ANY room. Do not put whispers accepted in the title of your room as you will find that the room wil be closed without
warning!!!!

So if you want a room with no whispers in it, say so in the title.
If a room does not have it in the title, then whispering is permitted provided the member wishing to whisper asks first.
All admin rooms - Beach Bar, Jacuzzi, Pool, Overflow etc are automatically no whispering without permission rooms as per the site rules.
So basically, if a room says no whispering that means no whispering - even if you ask first :lol2:
All other rooms are to be considered ask before you whisper rooms ;-)
TJ
ok clarification here again :
you said you cant boot someone for their gender so as a single male you CANT boot me out of a couples room?
i only as as when i first joined i wandered around the rooms and lurked in a couples room and got booted, did not realise at first why but then twig and not been back since

That is correct. Single males should not be booted unless thay are causing a problem.
Having said that, if a title clearly states its a couples room, it is slightly ill mannered of single guys to go in there for a nose around when there are many other rooms they can chat or cam in without being made to feel like a leper. Not having a dig at you btw smile
Strangely enough, when logged in with my non op account a few days ago (its a couples account), I got booted out of a room which was titled *couples and bi fems* - because my profile states that I am not a bi fem confused
Even we get some stick at times, but on this ocassion it was not a good move :lol2:
Sooo, if anyone does get booted on account of their status or gender, please let one of the ops know and we will pop along and deal with it.

I'm glad I read this.
It's something I've not thought of before, but from what you're saying if I go on cam I'm not just showing myself to site members, but also their drunken vanilla mates they've come back from the pub with.
and I would have no right to boot the user out of a room in this situation even though they were letting non members view me on cam
Makes mental note to keep face out of cam.

When a room has 80 people in it and the majority of them are watching one cam. I think it`s fairly safe to assume that some of the watchers are, either not mentioned on the profile, or simply don`t exist in the way the profile suggests !!
It is impossible to know who is watching and how many people are viewing on a particular account.
With this in mind we all have to accept that if we switch on our cam we are exposing ourselves lol to being viewed by complete strangers AND their friends !

Wise words flower.
I accept that you can never know who is watching, but what I find disturbing is that if I knew for a fact that non members were viewing me on cam I have no right to boot the user (who is allowing them to view me)out of the room confused

see.... see your doing it here too!!!!!!
kick them and then claim you saw someone other than the account holder typing if they complain !!

not really good advice flower, as you are encouraging ppl to tell porkies. rolleyes
If you are on cam there is no way of knowing who is watching you on it so if anyone feels at all miffed about that, then the only way to stop that feeling is not to go on cam.
and Flower...........
did you have a good fuck then wink  lol

Well Flower
