Overflow rooms

Overflow rooms? C'mon give them names. Why not they are there all the time are they not? what about something like - 'server 1 reception please take a seat' room. Or the 'restroom now please wash your hands' Name them after venerable members maybe

I've not seen more than one or two people in them anyway.
Chat server one is frequently "full" but when you do get in, it's usually only the one main room that's full anyway.

Same here. I try to join another server and it says it's full. You try again 3 seonds later and it allows you to swap and the overflow rooms are usually totally empty. confused

I've come to the conclusion that server 1 has a little man standing at the entrance saying "Ooooh can't let you in first time sir, more than my job's worth". It takes persistance to get in, but get in I always do after a few goes.

Overflow rooms......
As you all should know by now, when you log into chat, you will be "randomly" allocated to one of the three chat servers. You will then be dropped into one of the admin created, permanent rooms. (jacuzzi, pool, beach bar etc).
Some people were finding at times that the servers wern't as stable as they are today, that they would keep being allocated to the same server.
If the admin rooms were all full, then you would have nowhere to go, and you would just have to stare at a grey screen all night. By creating the overflow rooms, it is a way of ensuring more people can actually arive into a chatroom without a grey screen and plenty of mad

So I guess, by calling them overflow rooms, they already have the correct names?

To be honest, I really was'nt thinking techy reasons for 'overflow' rooms. Just thought naming them could be a mildly intersting diversion maybe? I guess they are correctly named. Mind you if they are correctly named. Then why are the admin rooms called Jacuzzi, Beach bar and The pool? lol

Yep, the script kicks in when one of the servers hits about 500 from memory, so the overflow rooms may be free, but the server is under the most load;
Server 1: 622, Server 2: 411, Server 3: 395

So why - when I've tried to log in twice already - am i directed immediately to a greyed out Server 2? Then I've got the 5 mins to wait to try again - and hope that server 2 is packed out so it will whisk me away to 1 or 3 instead cos they never seem to be greyed out.

I don't suppose anybodies actually realised that the beach bar in server two dosen't work. so when the pool and jacuzzi are full, which happens quite often at the mo, ya get grey screen . just thought id point that out.
