This solution may help a few people who have various issues in chat. Note this probably won't stop disconnections, or problems connecting to chat, but its well worth a go anyway!
Uninstall Flash
Download the file below and run it to remove flash player.

Reinstall Flash
Go here:
And hitting the 'Download Now' button.
