My favourite room control button is the "clear chat" one and that's what I use the most....keep the text running to a reasonable speed, delete phone numbers, emails and other temporary mist-posted embarassments.
Of course the "kick" button's also useful for controlling the occasional nitwit but for me it's also a last resort option.
