when a room has ..lets say 75 folk in it..how can it rise to 76 . 77 ..etc without going below the 70 mark first?
you must have been reading my mind i came here to opst that question LOL
wasnt happening like that ,,, it really was bouncing around for ages ..i mean several mins well above the 70 mark .. dropping down then back again but never below around 75
I think you have to be VERY friendly with the hierarchy to get in when its over the limit wink bolt

I've found that this happens with the more popular main rooms i.e. Beach and Pool when moving servers.
When moving, I don't believe the code takes into account the reserved overflow spaces, so whilst the chatter level is in the 70s, you'll find people are still able to connect, unless it is maxed out at 80. However if you are already connected on that server and you are manually trying to join, the system won't allow you to do so unless it drops below 70.
thanks for the info , and thanks for getting back to me FYI it was the mids room..
You'll probably find that it's the chatroom ops moving into the room - they seem to be able to get into a room, no matter how full it is.
I could be wrong though...

Your not wrong. wink
If there was trouble kicking off in a full room and we couldn't get in to sort things out it wouldn't be acceptable to allow the rule breaking to continue. So the kind admin folks have written something that lets us get in and out of rooms a little easier.

but no ops were showing in the room.. not one let alone the six or seven necessary to have the effect of changing a room with 73 to 79 for example so i beg to differ , past caring now btw but felt i should point out Ian is wrong, unless of course you are telling me we had seven ops moving in cloaked from view??? btw there appeared to be no trouble in the rooms .
