Technical help for my webcam

Hi all,
I wonder if any of the techies can help! I have a Logitech Deluxe Quickcam for Notebooks.
It used to work on SH but now I freeze after a couple of mins, so have to reboot only to freeze again. Discovered now that it doesn't work on MSN too sad

When i do the normal quick capture just through my lappy the little green light goes on and its fine confused

I have downloaded the latest software, defraged, cleared cookies, cleared cache, I am not running any other applications, checked the SH thingy mi jiggy on the cam icon......but still no go....
Anyone got any ideas?

i had a problem with my cam using msn.
Also this problem extended to the chatroom.
This is what i did, you can decide on which bit you need to do but i did all this which fixed the problem.
Firstly.I use Avg anti-virus one of the avg updates blocked msn and all components used within it.
I had to go into the avg 8 options and select all programs using the cam to be ignored.
Then i uninstalled all versions of java installed on my only the java programs visible in the add/remove programs section on control panel.
Uninstalled cam software.
Went to program files and deleted all folders which were for java and the cam.
Restarted pc.
Opened internet explorer and downloaded the latest version of java.
Next downloaded the cams software from the vendors website (logitech,microsoft etc).
installed
Installed cam
Then when i started the chatroom at sh i had to right click my cam window,click settings and change the cam setting to find my installed webcam.
Saved settings.
closed internet explorer.
Opened i.e and cam worked in sh chatroom.
