Has anyone with Tiscali actually managed to resolve their chatroom issues?
I tried to help a friend last weeek who has problems with the chat and sometimes msn. We followed the links on here and browsed the Tiscali forums and found issues on chatroom use, downloads and general speeds going back to 2002!!!!
According the the members of that site, the answer seems to lie in changing your ISP - whatever the cost!
On another site, Tiscali rated the worst ISP for not fulfilling the "unlimited downloads" promise and for having peak times.
Apparently, their customer services is pretty crap too. Many customers are advised to read the small print that allegedly says unlimited does not mean unlimited and they have the right to traffic-shape (is that right?) as they see fit.
Anyone actually managed to resolve this or did you just give up using the chatroom?

Tiscali and the chatroom
After having months of unresolved issues with Tiscali... with them IP streaming me for no reason.... I have eventually sorted it all out.
I told the highest person in Tiscali management exactly what I thought of their company, their customer service and their technical dept.... demanded my MAC... and signed up to Sky.
Since then.... no problems.
The only thing a company like Tiscali will understand is a dramatic fall in users... then perhaps a little customer care will kick in.
