Web Cam Wont Work in Chat Room

Just got ourselves a web cam and have got it connected and it works when not connected to the internet. However when we log into the chat room, it does seem to work, we get no picture appearing.
Have checked the settings and its all ok, so does anyone know why it wont work?

finally got the web cam working, dont know how I did it, but it now works, but everytime we are in the chat room with the cam on we get kicked out.
