webcam help

hi all
just a quick question . Ive just installed a webcam, but cant seem to get it to work.
whenever I try to use it in meesenger or in the chat rooms all I get is a blank blue screen.. What do I need to do

You cannot run two video conversations at the same time. Think you need to re install your software for your web cam, and try again.
If that does not work, then check the settings. We have just brought a new one today which did not work, but after re install, now works fine. Hope that helps.

In messenger you need to install using tools / audio-video settings and choose yr cam otherwise you get a blank screen !!

ok Ive tried everything, Ive reloaded software but all I get is a blue screen!!!!
the cam works ok as Ive tried it control via the settings , its only when I try it in chat or on messenger it dont work , Ive even now loaded the digital video camera I got for crimbo and again works fine in the printers and cameras settings but as soon as I try chat , the little allow or not box comes up then ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, blue screen
any other ideas folks
will be eternally gratefull
