Where have all the swingers gone?

I have visited several clubs over the last few months that used to be busy. But not any more. And whats puzzeling is that the club managers and owners say that its been this way since covid. But covid was a few years ago now, so where have all the swingers gone? I know that some clubs continue to be popular and busy, but this doesnt explain why other clubs are, on the face of it, failing. Answers on a post card please!!!!
