i am fed up of idiots who keep whispering me in chat, they either cant read or simply dont care ... so rude and makes me so peed off
also another pet hate of mine is the people who then tell me to take a chill pill when i ask for the whispers to stop ... why should i have to have any hassle when im not the one being rude and breaking rules !!

You can switch off the whispers as Phoenix have suggested but I don't see why you should have to do that. Sometimes you want to whisper with the polite people who ask permission.
You could also report the person whispering uninvited. Asking to whisper before you do is a site wide rule and should be adhered to. There's a report button on every profile. Just drop a note of which room you were in with the time and date in the comments box and job done. We can check the logs and take action.

i feel i shouldnt have to turn off the whispers for several reasons, one being that some people do ask permission first and someimes its more apropriate to whisper then, another reason is that whispers from friends is fine, but also i shouldnt have to turn whispers off because its site rules that people ask first and get a "yes" answer !
i do frequently report people who whisper to me and also those that then get abusive to me, however i cant see that much action is taken against them usually, i normally check their profile to see if they have had a ban but that has rarely hapened so it seems they maybe just get a telling off which doesnt seem to be much of a deterent because most of the whisperers do it again and again !
i occasionally ask (by a suport ticket) what action was taken but im always told that im not allowed to know !!

I can assure you that action is taken against people who break the rules. I'm a believer in discretion so I fully agree that Admin shouldn't be disclosing what action has been taken against another member regardless of whether you were the person reporting them or not. I dare say you'll just have to put your trust in Admin and know that people are dealt with.

How can you tell if someone has had a ban by looking at their profile then?

How can you tell if someone has had a ban by looking at their profile then?
i think it says something like this member is currently not active ... or similar wording

I know that on a first offence then it is most likely to be a slap and told not to do it again but if it happens again then report it again. If there are people doing it regularly then each time we know about it the consequences are escalated.

To ban someone for whispering once is ridiculous. It's not so ridiculous to issue a ban if they keep doing it. The only way that will happen is if someone reports it. It takes less than a minute to submit a report.
i do report whispers
especialy when they keep doing it every day
and also when they then get abusive when i ask them not to whisper

its just easier to not bother going into chat or to start a room cus then i can boot them
