we emailed one of the admins about being an op as we would like to make the site a better place to swing.
when i queried if any decision as made i was told it was in discusion about our acct as noone had seen us run a rom, well im not surprised if they are all in one room, but that comment surprised me as a lot of ops who come to nw room ask us to open a new one if noone is around, or is it because we dare to ask questions that we have been overlooked?????????????????

because we seen and witnessed a group of people being abused in a chatroom, they was new to the scene and didnt know what to do. i looked for an op and none was online. this is wrong, we are onsite quite a bit and want to help make sure situations like this never arise again...
new swingers who are going to pay for this site are going to be the ones that keep the site alive. if these are bullied harrased early on thats revenue lost and potentialy putting the sites future in doubt. u think all these new advancements and the new chatroom that is planned cost nothing.

i commend you for the passion you show for this site......but in all honesty after reading your postings...my gut feeling is you are not OP material......you seem too argumentative,treating everything as a conspiracy.....in the end it's possible you could do more damage than good in the long term if you were an OP.....Don't take it personal but some people are just not cut out for this kind of work.

I appreciate what you are saying Mark, but quite honestly just because people pay to join this site, that does not guarantee them an op in chat for 24/7.
We are all volunteers, helping to keep the site running smoothly because we love the site. If does feel good to make a difference sometimes, but we DO have real lives.
We do have families, jobs, everyday stuff to attend to and being on SH every free waking moment if just not possible.
All of us do the best we can and I know you have helped me several times in the past which I appreciate, but please don't go expecting us here all the time
Now can we *please* get back to the congrats for Uncle, Shaz and Tony.
I'm sure some of the remarks on this thread will dampen their first day as op's. Some of it is quite childish and uncalled for

if you calm down and read carefully what has been said I think you will find that Sheddywas in no way ignorant or abusive.......
he actually tries his best to help members and if you'd read more of his postings you would see that. Unfortunatly he is now on his way to work so cannot answer for himself.
at least now you have proved once and for all that you do not have the qualities needed to be a good OP.
I know one op who asked several times before they were made ops. This shows a great amount of concideration goes into it and you need to be known as a room host prior to gaining this status, so all i can say is keep trying and dont be disheartened if you get overlooked this time.
It is a months trial and they may decide its not for them. It is a big task to keep control in chat and forums i know this having rum a forum for a few years myself. But i do hope they all continue long after.
Basicly what im saying is wish them luck and dont be down on them for your lack of successs so far (if that what you want to do). And dont see it as a minus.

Im new here but redhot just confirmed what i thought, the ops do the job for no more reward than to make the chat rooms enjoyable for all the members. Its a selfless job that puts them at risk of abuse......but there commitment to us the members and the good image of the site is all that drives them. They dont have there stars as trothys on the mantle peice and do respect the responsibility that they have been awarded. I for one wish all the new op's success and want to say thankyou to the exsisting op's for there commitment.
So why give them a hard time ehh!

I was involved in putting forward Shaz_n_Tony's name for consideration as Ops and have no problem with their acceptance. The decision was down to the other Ops.
The north west has the biggest number of members on this site; a lot of clubs are in the midlands wider area and the members are very active on this site.
If you persist in your argumentative mode then be very careful about breaching the site AUP.
And that goes for everyone else too!

i dont want to start a row but i dont actually like the id name naughty uncle. I am not having a pop at this member /op i dont know him and have never spoken with him. just i thought there were going to be tighter controls over the use of girl, boy in chat names so naughty uncle just sounds wrong me down in flames if ya want. i know ppl will now pick on my name but it doesnt have kiddy overtones.
i guess now people will say thats my minds way of thinking blah blah
can i just request that all chat room ops have their name shown on the forum front page if they are on line and on duty so we can find them easier??

i actually said in a post fair play for picking people on their merit. and im not having a go at any ops at all,
it is a known fact tha when the chatroom is busy there can be 1500+ members onsite.
we need more ops more mods to police the site as it grows, and as i further stated if we had lots moe ops my concerns woul dno longer be a point that i need worry about as more ops potentially = less chatroom abuse
ok if more OP's were picked......and you were not asked to be one......would you have a problem with that?
