anti social behaviour orders

just out of interest, having read another post in which it was pointed out the police were threatning the issuing of ASBO's at a certain site, has any member here actually recieved such an order, simply for sitting in, walking around or actually being caught watching/other compramising position etc in a public carpark?
we have seen posters threatning the issuing of anti social behaviour orders for dogging, we've heard rumours of threats in various carparks, some close to home..my discussions with a "police dogger" :shock: wink assure me its not a likely scenario as the system is far too complex and dogging doesn't fit the parameters..
anyone here care to arm me with an actual account, so as i might put him right on the score?
i'm not saying it isn't happening, but with the subject being raised quite frequently, it would seem understandable that potential doggers are abandoning their ambitions due to ASBO's being dished out like smarties..but ARE they? it would be interesting to get a proper angle on the situation..ie regional hotspots etc.

I'm not 100% sure of the facts regarding ASBOs, but as I understand it the Police can't just go arround handing out ASBOs willy nilly. Just as with any other sentance the thing has to go before the courts and relevant evidence presented.
I can't see a court handing out an ASBO without there being compelling evidence that a person has repeatedly acted in a manner likely to cause grave offence.
It sounds to me as if the local constabulary are using scare tactics here, to be honest unless Jo Public is involved I suspect the police will just ignore it as far as prosecution is concerned. Police resources are pretty thinly stretched these days and unless there is a chance of an easy conviction I cant see them wasting time money and manpower on a few doggers.

our thoughts exactly wink obviously certain carparks at certain times have reached saturation point. when dogging becomes so "obvious", it causes "rumblings" amongst the varios powers to be..our larger carparks are subject to these occassional clamp-downs too..obviously several carparks are now subject to cctv monotoring, or even closure, either at night or perminently..we just wanted to clarify this ASBO situation though as the issuing of such is an increasingly used threat, but we have yet to hear of anyone being subject to such an order :wink:

The previous post is correct Mr D . ASBO's are issued by the courts and not by the police . Its just another scare tactic - it takes repeated persistant antisocial behaviour to illicit one and its really very unlikley that they would bother spending the time issuing one unless you were habitual and absolutely piss taking in the way that you do your dogging . Apart from anything else , like most other sanctions that are threatened by the police regarding dogging , although it is possible to the letter of the law it stands very little chance of a positive result without at least one 'injured party' making a complaint.

thanks mr G, pretty much as i thought..the lack of anicdotal evidence comes as no surprise, but my post was worded so as not to discount the possibility just in case someone begged to tell us differently, in which case, they would have recieved a severe grilling as to the actual, and not fictional circumstances lol
similar result to the "arrest" thread you did wink now maybe we can all go play without fear of either :lol:
we'll probably get nicked and have the distinction of being the first exhibitionist couple in the uk to be served with an ASBO now redface :lol:
