I have often wondered what people think to the other vehicles that we all see on our car parks, and how people react to them pulling alongside.
On my patch there are White Van Men in their Transits, Taxi Drivers in their Black Cabs, people in their family saloon sized cars. and also people who have discovered that there is more to do in a 4x4 than taking the kids to school.
So how do you react when different kinds of vehicles pull up besides you? As an example, I for one like to have line of sight to a car park entrance in case cars with blue lights appear, and I feel uncomfortable if something big enough to obstruct my view is parked in my way.
There seems to have been a spate of doggers, who think it is clever to buy 4x4's all of a sudden here, so that they can get a "grandstand view", and unfortunately, with their bigger vehicles has come a bigger ego and (a my car is bigger than your car) attitude. I have known people who have been perfectly nice guys when they had "ordinary" cars who seem to have been transformed into right obnoxious so and so's simply because they think that they are superior now that they have a bigger vehicle. Is this reflected in other parts of the country?
One for the ladies - How do you feel about not only having a bigger vehicle pull not only alongside you, but also above you too? Is that stimulating or intimidating? Or does it make no difference?
