Dogging sites in Leicestershire

It is precisely why places are being closed off at nights now, because people are constantly naming them in open forums.
Yes there are still places open but we will not share them on here, they already have a dogging community which frequents them and we are part of that.
It has taken us a long time to find these places and we will not put that at risk. Perhaps if it had taken you 2 years to aquire this knowledge you would not be so free with open forum information.
We used to frequent the site mentioned by the way and enjoyed many a good meet there. alas all that is now history.

he named a place that closed tho ..... not a place still used !!!!

i was, until early this year, part of the local dogging community and its good to hav new ppl showing an interest...... in fact i found out bout most places locally via this site.....by pm
Mods Edit - why do you think these places are closed! Because people name them and then others quote them all over the place

I dont think it reads as if you had named a location (which you hadnt), you had just stated that the original poster had mentioned a closed location. However, you did quote the original post and this contained a location, and therefore, probably unintentionally, you were giving the area a bit more unwanted publicity.
I do see your point about the person naming a location which had closed but these places do get reopened and it really is not worth giving any sites any kind of publicity.

i did try to delete the location from their post wen i quoted it but for some reason it wudnt go !!

You made an excellent point about new people joining in and about finding about places via pm. Word of mouth is the best way to find out about new places and putting an advert/post on to ask for help often gets some good results. Sometimes what can feel like a wasted night sat in a car park with the other 'doggers' can result in some brilliant new ideas of places to visit.
Like yourselves, I don't have a problem in sharing details of sites with people who I feel are genuine and who are prepared to put in a bit of effort finding out about places themselves. I just find it a bit harder to want to share information with someone when it is their first post and people have not had the opportunity to get to know them. Plus, it is always harder for the single guys because there are already so many of them around.
Good luck with your search Stewishere, but I do think that if you joined in a bit more, got you name a little more 'known' you might get a better response.
