the locations i posted were not exact locations they were descibing the general areas if you took the time to look at a map or if you knew the area half as well as you think you do then you would see there are a the very least a dozen differnt carparks in each location ,and i did not refer to any particuar one location , but thankyou for your advice i shall note your comments and be more carefull point taken.

Hi Rick and Jools, yes you are right in saying that there are at least half a dozen car parks in the areas you mentioned but ALL these car parks are known dogging locations and have been spoiled with the boy racers who just love to visit all the car parks.
I live very local to these areas and know the place very well but due to the amount of free advertising these places have had on the internet, they are not the best places in the world to go dogging at the moment. Experience has shown that even the mention of an area which is used for dogging and not necessarily a specific location, has an adverse effect on the site. For weeks you see the site/car park is twice as busy as normal, full of boy racers, and has regular visits by the police.
Anyway, hope you have fun (wherever you decide to go).
As for the couple, you were a bit specific in your description of thema nd the car - just hope it wasnt someone playing behind their partners back

it is an irration we must put up with for the time being and one which i feel is more fueled by the glorified stories in the media with such like as stan collymore.

May I give you an example of someone posting *non specific locations* on here and the problems it causes?
Several months ago a member who lives local to me posted about a meet. He gave a *general area* which happened to be sooo specific that when Jon and I visited it (we had not seen his post at that point, so were unaware) we and several doggers were verbally abused, threatened with large sticks and had stones and small rocks thrown at our cars.
Luckily no one was hurt, although several cars had minor damage.
It happened again a week or so later, only that time there were more cars, more youths and one guy (a transvestite) did get beaten up
This guy whinged to the mods that he had not been specific in his posts after I reported him, but he was specific enough for locals who know the area to be aware of where he was talking about
This is precisely why the rules on SH are in place about posting location details, however *non specific*.
Sure you can read the locations on the dogging site list, but these locations may or may not be active. Many of them are no longer active.
Posting details of meets etc will only reinforce the fact that an area is used and when.

if the list is not good, which it isn't
and if your honest this was first published more than 5 years ago and has just been handed on from site to site
why not bin it and say no specific loctions are available to non members
members,who after all will aways be able to join for free, can work through pm's
the list is only there as a venus fly trap, cos it comes up in the search engines
more than 2 years into an excellent job, you might not need it anymore

Giving specific location details to registered members would not stop problems as my post indicated. That guy was a member on here and he chose to post details on the forum.
The fact that the location is mentioned in the list is neither here or there.
By him posting details that the site was actively used, other people who would not need to be registered to read the forum could have gleaned the information, and it could have been they who turned up and caused the problems.
However, the member in question happened to also be one of those who beat up the transvestite, so even keeping details to pm only may not have solved the problem. Even if he did not know the locations at first, someone may have told him by pm about them in the beginning.
If other members choose to tell someone else about an active site, they must first make bloody sure they person they are talking with is entirely gen before giving out details IMO.
For this reason I *never* give out details of locations I use, some of which are so remote, they are not used by more than four or five people at any one time.
The bottom line is, we must all take care to protect ourselves. The first rule of that is by keeping active location details off the forum.
