From Inspector Gaskell Hertfordshire Police
Please be aware that any criminal or anti social activity in the Hertfordshire area will result in Police action
You will doubtless be pleased to know that the number of "safety cameras" is about to go up considerably in Hertfordshire.
The Furneaux Pelham murder has not yet been solved (listen to the 999 call on )
Clicking on NEWS AND APPEALS on the home page will inform you how badly they are doing, as there are LOADS of appeals for help.
Homophobic and race hate crime is on the increase, probably something to do with the increase in "safety cameras"
All-in-all, it seems that car parks and other parks don't have much to do with crime in Herts..although there are many residents concerned that the police seem unable to do anything about the incidence of drug-related crime in residential areas.....maybe they've been OD'ing on viagra.
Vandalism is on the increase in Welwyn Garden City......and the police drivers have a bad accident record (compared to other organisations running fleets of vehicles...like BSM, ambulances, fire and taxis')
Now, what was the question ?
Oh, and I hear they may be forming squads to combat anti-social behaviour.
Probably because the sex offences act is about to provide them with easier targets than murderers and drug dealers.
If you're "out-and-about" you may like to consider that if you are convicted as a voyeur you are now liable to virtually the same penalty as a person perusing child porn.
Complete with mandatory entry on the sex offenders register.
These people are for real.
Sad, ain't it.
I'm going to stick a few wireless cctv cams looking at the law shop locally....maybe even do a bit of squealing on the ones shagging each other while on duty...better than dogging them.

That's true mr&mrsdisco1 - there are vastly different attitudes amongst the police in different areas. Sadly some still see dogging as a big problem, but others recognise that dogging is not the real problem - the real problem is the nutters that are attracted to dogging locations as they see doggers as easy prey. Sgt McKee's message the other day was a very positive sign that the police are trying to address this very serious problem. Inspector Gaskell's post was different than Sgt McKee's in that it was easy to interpret it as a threat to doggers in Herts. I hope that it wasn't intentioned this way and that Inspector Gaskell was actually talking about the REAL criminals, such as muggers, rapists and other types of thug that are the REAL problem for society.
I guess, doggers could help themselves to some extent. Things like cleaning away condoms and making absolutely sure that your activities cannot be overlooked by the general public is a way to reduce the chance that your behaviour will cause offence to anyone or cause the police to be called to sites on a regular basis.
