Hi Marsland, I see you are new to the scene so perhaps I can offer some advice. I'm a bit of an old 'dog' at this having been a dogger for some 40 years. 1. Wait until you see someone advertising in the N/East. Then get in contact if at all possible. 2. Even if you make contact with a couple, don't bank on them turning up. Only about 1 in 3 do keep appointments. 3. If the weather is:- Cold, windy or raining the chances of anyone turning up deminish. 4. If you manage to make contact, especially with first timers, try and arrange a local site that is not listed in the Dogging Sites County List, that way you may get near enough to see some of the action. 5. If you have made an arrangement, make sure you know the colour and make of the participants car. Approaching a car with a couple in it without knowing who is in it may result in a knuckle sandwich, if it simply contains a courting couple, and not your expected couple. Injuries often elicit enquiries from the wife if you are married. 't expect to get invited to participate, it sometimes happens, but not all the time. 7. Observe the Dogging Rules. 8) 8. Have a very good excuse for being where you are, in case Mr. Plod arrives. Walking the dog doesn't carry much weight if it is at home, or you are many miles away from where you live, even if you do have a dog with you. 9. Keep one eye on the action and the other on the approach road for white cars with a red stripe on them. 10 Have fun. Believe it or not dogging can be successful. Best of luck. Harry0
40 years!!!!!! My total respect to you! I bet you've seen quite a bit in your many years out on the road - maybe you could write the best ones down for us to read in the stories section?
Thanks for the offer Bluexxx. But I can't see this web site putting up a tale of the 'Up's and Downs of Dogging', that would be of similar size to, and as equally boring as, 'War and Peace'. I already have enough writing to do anyway. I wish computers and Web Sites had been available in my early days. In those times contact had to be made in cryptic messages inserted into underground magazines and papers which were hidden under the counter of certain newspaper shops. A meeting could take weeks or even months to set up, and cost quite a lot for the adverts, but at least there were no time wasters then. Happy days. By a strange chance of fate, I recently met a lady from my early days of Dogging and later, as we lay back looking at the bedroom ceiling, she remarked that Dogging had had a deterious effect on me. When I questioned that by asking 'how', she replied, " I can remember the days when you were 10" and a wrinkle, now your 10 wrinkles and an ****" I leave out the last word as it causes personal embarrassment. lol. Anyway Bluexxx, thanks for the offer, sorry, but I must decline. I need all my strength for the next party :P Wahey. Harry0
