Anybody going along to holkham this week? looks like it could be nice weather thinking of going friday myself, just wondering if it gets much use nowadays?
Friday is going to be cloudy. Wednesday is going to be sunny with a Temperature of 20°C. Winds NE 12 mph.
It will be packed, check the webcam for Wells-Next-The-Sea harbour at:
Which is 2 miles away (ish)
The dunes are always full in good weather....although it may seem they are empty.
Wander to the shore-line opposite the nude area....and wonder at the Dune Meerkats !
If you get to Holkham before 0800z you may escape the parking fee at Lady Ann's Rd (google maps: , ) and then you can wander over to the nude area.....it's a long walk.....(google maps: , ) but a good one.....
Love it, always.
See you there first week in August xx
hi i used to goto well.s next to the sea with a ship realy nice place 2 go but didnt no there was doggin sites there tho .....
Not for your works transport.
We're talking about the beach at Holkham. No truck parking there.
Very nice weather today. Cooling wind blowing off the sea, minimal cloud, sunny and about 22 degrees. The dunes are doing great biz....
I'm sure you'll manage well Andrew.
As soon as you get over the shock of having to pay to park (unless you park at the side of the pub and walk....and walk...and walk...) (but it is a nice walk)
It is half a mile from the top of Lady Ann's road to the treeline....and a further mile to the start of the nudist beach !
There is a tea-room in the village and the pub is not bad !
Alternatively, you could go to factor 40 sunscreen and raybans ! (the red ribbon around the base of the cock is optional)
The action (in good weather) starts around 0700z.....with the arrival of the dedicated dune-meerkats to their allocated sections of the dunes.
You should note that the young ladies on the ponies tend to head straight to the relevant section of the beach and parade around there for some time. Note: I'm quite sure they are not "up" for anything, and several are jailbait anyway.
